Being ignored
Communication is the key and you have a problem with it. He was hurt because he cares about you in a deeper way and that you didn't trust him enough. I hope everything will be fine in the end for both of you and that you recovered well after the surgery and it was not something really serious. Take care of your health!
I didn't read the OP before you hid it ... but, it's a little confusing reading the responses as they pertain to the title.
If the guy isn't a good match for you ... then why are you bunched up about being ignored by him?
So, you want to be with a guy who isn't right for you?

I'm confused as to what you need to fix.
Why did he take you having surgery and twist it into something all about him? He should be supporting you rn, not playing havoc on your emotions and manipulating you to feel guilty.
