I don't even know if I believe in this stuff anymore but.....

But is Venus retrograde supposed to help you see things clearly or does it distort your view? I've been really thinking extensively that one of my good friends (scorpio ive mentioned) may actually be someone I should be with. We've had history in the past. We hangout tons, and there is a real connection. But we're never on same page.... since 2002. haha It's been heavy on my mind. I doubt I'll pursue anything, but its just plaguing my thoughts. Normal for this transit?

Retrograde is an idea that was abandoned a long time ago by astrologers but for some reason made a second-wind on the interwebz.

But that doesn't discredit the thoughts you're having for your friend.

Oh, really?! I had no idea it was kind of an outdated idea.

Yeah, ive been doing a lot of casual dating lately and nothing ever feels right. I realize when I'm with him I feel very good, at ease, secure.

I dont think ill even pursue it. I was more wondering if its common during this time to kind of think about the relationships in your life a little differently.

I don't see why not. There are times we see clearly and times that we are clouded for some reason. Whether it's the planetary alignment who really knows for sure but something affects us differently from time to time. Shame on this guy being one foot in the door and one outside. I guess you wonder what would actually happen if you were both ready at the same time. Would it last or just be an "in the moment" thing ... perhaps that is why you both pull back when the other one is gunho lol - a way of putting the brakes on something that may not last anyway and potentially ruining the friendship you already have.

Oh, for sure! We are both nightmares to date. He is an insanely cautious Scorpio, with an Aries moon, Cap Mars, and Sag Venus. I will say he is exactly how he sounds, slow moving, intense, hardheaded, blunt and kind of aloof.

I am fickle, say flippant stuff, am not super reliable on how i'll feel day to day. He calls me "Patrick Bateman".... implying I'm emotionless. haha Asshole.

hahaha sweet - good friends are hard to find; the kind that know you and still love you - as close to unconditional as it gets and my kind of relationship however not everyone understands ... and it goes both ways of course! read Kahlil Gibran "On Friendship" - love it !
