Posted by LePetitFiskI watch a youtube channel where the father is a Sag and the way he teaches his daughter makes it fun. Like he keeps her mind stimulated, and never barks down orders, which is interesting because the mom is more strict, she's a Cap, yet the daughter responds to the dad more..
My favorite aunt is a Sag. I remember her coming over to our house and sitting with me to teach and help me with my homework when I was little. My mom would just bark and yell for me to do it, while my aunt did it with me. When she had her own children, she did the same for them.
Success is taught by example in my opinion.
I don't have kids, but I fear that I'd be more like your mother, and I notice that kids don't respond well to that. Even if they do in the beginning, it eventually get old.

I think it’s more in the type of family you’re in & the expectations. I’m a Sag and yeah I nag my kids when they are having trouble.. but doesn’t work so well in my stubborn adhd Leo son, so had to find another way. My Scorpio daughter though is a go-getter.
My parents - Cardinal signs - Libra & Capricorn nagged ALL the time. But then they came from very educationally focused families..
Is your nagging different from your parents, or the same? Were they gently with pushing you?

Actually she's very very mean. To the points of impossible. Speaking in general not only about college. I don't appreciate being nagged tho cause it will never result anything good, I do things at my own pace no matter if one sits on my head with all the nagging or gently tries to do that it just becomes counterproductiveclick to expand

My Cancer niece is only 9yrs old, but my Virgo sister gives her a lot of space and lets her make her own mistakes, then she teaches her afterwards. It's almost like she steps back to watch how my niece will move, and then picks her brain to see if she understood why the outcome was the way it was.
Its very different from how I would handle my niece if I were her mother, but my niece seems to be doing just fine.

Some just carry on the parenting techniques they received, albeit unconsciously .... it's lazy parenting. It takes awareness, hard work and skill to raise a child but some people don't take the time and effort

That cardinal energy sometimes just want to give orders and nothing else. *sigh* I see how its very limiting and stifling, which isn't probably the best. I come more from a place of support, guiding, listening. But nagging to make sure they do their homework etc. well the controlling way didn’t work so well on my independent children 😉click to expand
I definitely can't be like that when/if i have kids. That's so good for you to see what works with your kids and what does not. A lot of parents don't seem to make the necessary changes.

I do believe mutable parents are great and supportive. I didn’t have them myself, but my husband is one. The amount of energy they can give is what helps I think. My Sag husband is always doing something. So calm and encouraging.
I want children, just need to find the right girl, that's all.

My first time ever watching the Bachelor was last night, I was watching the finale with a woman-friend.

So during
it seems that the lawyers, doctors, engineers etc..that i know, or know of, have mutable sign parents. sometimes i don't get a chance to see the sign of both parents, but a lot of times it seems that usually both parent's are mutable.
for example, i talked about the gemini in the post on intellectuals, who didn't attend college yet is brilliant, and he was married to a virgo at one time, who passed away years ago. their daughter went to law school and became a lawyer. not only was he(gemini) intelligent, but he said the virgo ex wife super smart, smarter than him he says. she had three daughters and the other two are in college, and extremely smart as well.
the doctor i went to school with, i just saw on her page that her dad is a pisces. not sure about the mom, but both her and her sister are extremely smart and her parents are still together.
i just ran across another smart young lady's page, who i don't knonw, and saw that she's in med school. her mom is a virgo and dad is a sag.
just wonder if this is something anyone else notice?
