Female best friends, any positive experience ? Most of the time these friendships dissolve in the time, the college friends, for example. In late 20's most of us have their families, career and new circle.

Do you have best girlfriends? Do you still keep in touch and connect with them as you were like 15 years ago?

I had school friends with whom I don't keep in touch now..and the reason was women jealousy, which was ugly!

What's your experience?

Well I'm 37. My circle of friends is made up of friends that went to my kindergarten, picked up some in primary school and the rest in high school (there's 9 of us) I don't see them as much these days because we all moved from the suburb we grew up in so we can't just walk to each other's houses anymore. They all have families now but we have a weekend away every year. Do all the birthdays, kids birthdays and a Christmas party and occasional dinners or nights out. I see my best friend most, her son is my Godson and she went to my kinder and high school.

Then i have another close friend that I met when i was 19 (18 years ago) but she's not part of my bigger group of friends. And also another one that went to my high school but she is a 3 years older so we became friends a couple years after. She was best friends with my next door neighbour.

I also have guy friends that I've known since I was a kid.

Everyone else I've met along the way is more of an acquaintance than a friend. I don't really consider someone a real friend unless I've known them a really long time. New people tend to be more temporary. I'm pretty lucky because I don't think many people have forever friends and I'm fortunate enough to have a big group of them.
