Polygamy or monogamy?! Which side you are on
Imo, classical take on poligamy is a concept that (is going)went out with the patriarch model of the family where the husband has a final word in everything and is hierarchically positioned above his squad of wives, primarily because they were dependant on him to get by. We can take Islam here as example.
Also let's face it, take 3 wives for example, even if you could pay for it, even if you could satisfy them all, inevitably there will come a time when their nagging clocks will synchronize and they will hover over your head like 3 harpies out for blood. Who's got time for all of that.......

A friend of mine married a guy and found out after a while he had a wife in another country

Yeah !!! I want to know exactly that. But I thought it's going to be tough to bring them to this site. So I asked for a general opinion.

Idk i see most people think and feel in terms of open relationships nowadays without the actual consent of their partner and in spite of what's agreeable in their couple. Monogamy might be socially accepted yet side women, emotional cheating and social media 'deep connections' are more and more the norm.
The few monogamous men i know slipped at least once or twice on the other side in moments of vulnerability be it mentally sexually or emotionally. It's just humanly accepted to 'make mistakes'. As if a vegan eats a deer by mistake.
So instead of wondering where your man at ! If both women knew if he's not with me, he's with her!
From a woman's perspective that'll definitely sting. But it's still better than waste time how many women is he fucking outside the marriage or relationship!
On other hand. Don't you think it's also better for that woman to have time to herself— We all are so busy! And at times not in a mood to be our best. And at that very moment if you don't have to sit pampering your man and you know there's someone who's taking care of him haha !! Omg that definitely sounds weird but.. if only it was possible! I don't think monogamy is dead, but it is, and always has been a pretentious life style . We are not designed to be monogamous, but we are intelligent enough to accept its ideals, which actually do make sense in terms of creating superior offspring.
