So I heard about this guy that had slept with 40 woman and was due to get married. He had cheated on every one of them. He admitted to his fiancé about his serial infidelities (at least he was honest)Anyway he starts to accuse his gf of "looking at other men in the street" lol and she becomes pissed of with it, as there is no truth in it. . If a woman is insecure for marrying a man like that, she very well should be for making this stupid decision. A leopard doesn’t lose its spots. However, I do feel that people can change, but only if they really want to and make an effort to.
As for women, most women like to think they’re something special with magical powers of making a man a monogamist. Wishful thinking is beautiful, isn’t it?

People do change. I’ve seen a handful of marriages survive cheating. I’ve seen way more break up because of it. But those that stayed together actually became stronger and better, as individuals and a couple.Not knocking people who leave. Because they probably wouldn’t grownif they had. Everyone has a different level of tolerance and priorities and situation is the same. I just think the beauty of what can come out of a couple choosing to continue commitment gets overlooked sometimes because of stigma.
You can tell the difference though in people when they have or haven’t changed. It’s obvious in the way they treat their partner on the daily.

I think in the aspect if cheating, I have never met anyone who actually changed. The tendency to do it again is so high that it is bound to happen again. And women who let that pass... well I was one of those women before. And it has something to do with insecurity and thinking you can never meet any other better men out there. Its sad when i remember it. But glad that I learned my lesson. Took me years to gain my confidence back after that experience.

I'm not sure I can ever forgive him for leaving my mom for his secretary... although he paid more on his own from that one 🤣 and now he's in a loveless marriage with a younger wife who's not really young anymore... I mean... My situation I was HEAVILY involved with drugs, riddled with grief, and targeted by a much more damaged person who exploited me, so I made very damaging decisions out of confusion. Now that I've cleared myself of those issues, I see it even more clearly than the day I told him which is hard to swallow but necessary for improvement. I have been in an unhappy relationship for 3years now and can't think of cheating on him. I'll leave before I hurt someone like that ever again... idk how anyone with a soul or conscience can serial cheat... smh

Wow. I never really put it together like that but really!! Why the multiple marriages if you know what will happen!! In my dad's case, he shorted my mom child support while he was remarried the 1st time but he got his when she left him and took EVERYTHING just about lol. This one seems to be hanging in there til he dies. She wants that money... I truly believe that's the sole reason she is still with him. It's clear she doesn't love him. I wonder if she loves anything but herself tho 😝

He must really believe he is going the succeed, because what man willfully wants to go through divorce that many times? And it's always "welp hope this is my last one." This was a man with a good amount of money, nice house, stable, great credit. And he lost everything for these women, like your dad did. And whats the price of it all? Some sex?

I think some men get a lot of their self worth from how successful they are with women. They crave female attention and the ability to "get" women as much as the sex itself. If a guy is getting his self-esteem from that, he's not going to stop doing it. It's the cheating, not the number of partners, that is the red flag.

Yeah my dads is a lot about that I'm sure, image and general companionship too. I don't think my dad could be on his own at this point and I think he knows that too. That or he just really doesn't like being alone. Either one is not good to a degree. It's a lot of speculation for me bc we are super distant in my adult years. What I do know is that he likes appearance to be kept up, which so does his current wife so perfect. And I believe he doesn't want to be alone. I can respect that to some degree but forcing it won't give the results they are looking for. Only true self awareness and healing is the answer.

My mum told me the other day maybe I should not consider marriage. Just be in a stable relationship with kids. Marriage now is becoming nothing. Plus divorce is expensive if you make a mistake :/

Something I am definitely trying to be careful about too. Since I am almost 30, i thought might as well really pick a better one. Theres no need to rush. I just hope my man is nothing like the ones I read here on dxp. We do have a strong bond and I hope I will be enough. This LDR is a test.

Yes. We are planning to do that. We wanna live in the same house soon. Its what we are both working towards. For now, while we cant, LDR is a true test for our faithfulness. Some days its hard. But i know we love each other. I just hope its enough.

So I heard about this guy that had slept with 40 woman and was due to get married. He had cheated on every one of them. He admitted to his fiancé about his serial infidelities (at least he was honest)
Anyway he starts to accuse his gf of "looking at other men in the street" lol and she becomes pissed of with it, as there is no truth in it. . So she puts 2 + 2 together and cops onto his game that he is guilty of doing the same thing ... and more
He had asked her to marry him saying he was cured of his past lol and would "never cheat on her"
So time rolls on, wedding getting closer and she starts to put the thumb screws on him, and guess what?......he confessed to cheating on her more than once
I wonder about some women at times......how secure would you be knowing the cheating past of your future husband ... Did she really think he had miraculously changed? I wonder about men that convince themselves that they have "changed".... and also that they will never get caught ?
At least she found out and needless to say, the wedding is off
