Well it wouldn't be fair for me to comment on the dynamic since I'm not American and dating plays..differently here. Women don't feel they have to be ashamed to want marriage and a family and the whole process is ..organic. Honestly, there's a lot of fronting women engage in to prove...idk what exactly. Women who really don't want love and marriage? They're in the minority imo but you couldn't tell that by the replies in topics on dxp.
I'd say it has reached a point where it's not even a choice anymore but a self-fulfilling prophecy because the "wants" are completely out of hand.
To me it's not that women are less likely to choose marriage, it's that men won't marry them so instead of taking a good luck at themselves, we get "Oh it's a choice I made" to soothe themselves. I call BS on the majority of them claiming it's a "choice" they made.
When I'll see men get as ridiculous as this:

1. Strong
2. Visibly muscular (doesn't have to have bodybuilder-like muscles, but I wanna see that muscles definition!)
3. Dark skin (my favorite guy I've dated is from India and I'm in love with his dark skin)
4. Dark hair
5. Dark eyes
6. Noticeably taller than me
7. Clean and neat appearance (i.e. clothes aren't disheveled or anything like that)
8. Smooth skin (I'm not a fan of acne...)On the inside...
1. Confident
2. Generous
3. Possessive (but not to an extreme, obviously)
4. Devoted
5. Responsible
6. Ambitious
7. Intelligent
8. Flexible
9. Quiet
10. Reflective (likes to talk about "deep" subjects)
11. Loyal
12. GENUINE
13. A bunch more that I can't think of at the top of my head right now
