it is sadly common that many do not partner up for love. this seems to be true all over the world whether with western cultures or more conservative ones. just look at all the posts on dxp over years
i'd say it's a no brainer that one should prepare for something to go wrong down the road if s/he married for something other than love. it takes effort to protect and nourish a loving relationship. i don't think i'd have the same capacity and strength for a relationship that's not based on real love
