How do you deal with it?

How do you co-exist with lazy one?

Develop a pot habit before you start stabbing.

Sorry, I have nothing useful to add to this. 😆

Teach me guru!

At first, the chill thing can be a relief. No pressure! And then you realize you'll be doing all the heavy lifting for eternity. /reaches for bong

The only actual advice I have is to compliment and praise him when he does something good. If that works on him, he might do it more. The praise doesn't work on everyone, though. Nagging is sure to backfire.

Is English your first language?

Are you new here?

You better start keeping tabs on people like others here do.

Everyone knows its my 3rd language! Get with the program bozo!

Go cry about something...

What's your native language? I'm sure there's a reason he asked you that and I can honestly see why.

Who said I am telling? Keep peeling your eyes for the answer. Unless you have something better to do.

Oh boy. Is it depression or just a lazy personality? Just don't call him "lazy" unless you want to add passive resentment to the not getting anything done. People who seem lazy probably have issues from childhood with being called lazy too. Don't turn into his parent. Been there. Done that. Could write the book but hate this topic. Grrrr. 😉

If it IS depression, there will be no dealing with the laziness until he's started dealing with that.

Nope! Pretty happy when no one asks him to do anything!

I had turned into a Mommy 23 years ago. This is why I think Ive got a proposal of marriage.

When I was younger I didn't mind.

NOW I DO! I DO mind DOING everything!!!

Its depressing for ME.

But thanks

If it's definitely not depression, an ultimatum may work. The thing about ultimatums is you have to be ready to do whatever it is you threaten! The only other thing you can do is adjust your expectations of how often and well things get done.

You're welcome. Being some grown dude's mama is shit. And I'm pretty damned domestic.

Its too late. What am I supposed to say? Take trash out or...what?

Stop complaining about things you must do anyway or what?

Shave or what? IDK

Oh wow. So, he really does nothing!?!

If an ultimatum is to work you have to be specific, and it has to be doable for him. He's not going to become a completely different person all the sudden. I guess you need to figure out which things are nonnegotiable for you.

At 60 he is only going to become worse.

However it seems really bad. And it will be bad if I die or leave...

Otherwise he knows I will not let anything happen to anybody.

That's the thing...I AM DA MAN!

He's lazy. Your a cheater.

People don't get it if he wasn't lazy I wouldn't be cheating !!!

Is it that hard to understand?

Which is the bigger sin...?

whaaaat—

The op's favorite topic is talking about her scorpio lover she's been fucking behind her 'lazy' husbands back.

had no idea. but maybe he is even lazy to fuck. mine was like that too. it's not easy. if they have attachments in kids, properties or whatever. divorce is ugly. it was clean in my case but it still took a year and a half to make him leave me alone.
