OMG! I love New Orleans! I've only been once, but still. I love it! I think there are a couple users that live there.. maybe @kissmygrits ? I might have made that up though.

Are you going for Voodoo fest?

Cafe du Monde is deelish for caffe and beignets(?)

Brennans has really good mimosas and bellinis and other alcoholic breakfast type drinks.

That's about all I can recall at the moment.

I lived in New Orleans for several years, and can tell you that it is a blessing and a curse.

If you go out at night, always go with a friend. The more friends with you, the better.

And always stay in an area with plenty of bright lights and lots of people.

Do NOT go into any shady areas or darkened "short-cuts" at night.

That is what gets people robbed or killed.

If you can please be careful, then you can have a lot of fun there too.

Good luck, and God Bless.

Try to stay at the Ace Hotel in New Orleans.

There is a live band there playing almost every night.

Some of the bands are from the 'TREME' area of New Orleans.

There is also some great artwork from NOLA artists to observe.

There is also a rooftop pool and bar.

The staff looks very 1940's vintage, NOLA.

The rooms are also vintage NOLA 1940.

But enough about the FAB hotel.

For the restaurants,

K-Paul's Restaurant

Ne-Yow's Cafe

Mc Hardy's Chicken & Fixins

For the best pancakes you had in your life, go to Hobnobbers on Carondelet St.

Visit the French Quarters, Jackson Square, St Charles, Bourbon st, Frenchmen St and get on all of the trollies. Three dollars for the daily pass. Unlimited rides.

Visit the cathedral (St Louis Cathedral)

if you want Blues and jazz try visiting the clubs on Frenchman St.

If you want hip-hop and a hangout for the locals, try Silkys on Magnolia st.

Harrahs casino is a go-see as well.
