Not very subtle, any Scorpio man worth his weight would tell you what to wear by making you feel amazing in the kind of clothing he wants you to wear, You would not even know that he was in control.

Don't date us.

Not sure about that, bud. I don't hint ever.

I told my woman "Cover up" and she did.

Sorted.

Hinting is more of a Cancerian thing.

Mars in cancer here, maybe you are right that. I'm not talking about 'hinting', I'm talking about reinforcing habits using a positive reward system.

I tend to do a little of both. I'll drop hints and positive reinforce to get my point across. At other times I just tell you what I want you to do. It depends on my mood or how passionate I feel about something I guess.

I see as intensity as caring about something more than someone else and it being obvious about it.

I know people who are satisfied if dinner is somewhat palatable and doesn't make them sick with salmonella.

That's not acceptable to me. I am intensely focused on putting my finest work on the plate each and every time.

I can see maybe the "making it obvious" part (though still, that only shows intensity of reaction),, but how can one really know how much other people care about something?

Outward intensity of reaction isn't a reliable measure because people have different threshold ratios of reaction to feeling. Some people will scream and throw things just because they're a little irritated, others can be dying of anger inside and merely furrow their brows.

Plus, you may be a Gordon Ramsay about cooking, but what about with designer handbags? Veganism? 😛

now you're going into mercury territory, particularly ...jack of all trades. You can't focus on many things and be excellent at it. that'd be MASTER OF NONE.

That's true, but I don't see intensity and proficiency as necessarily related. I LOVE singing and music, but for the good of humanity, I only sing while driving alone. 😆

Plus, it could be argued that those Mercurial jack of all trades types have their own brand of intensity - intensity of curiosity and restlessness. Anyway, point is, I see intensity as such a subjective, fluid concept that it really can't be quantified and then specially attributed to one sign. Especially given the disparity of reactions among different people given a certain level of internal emotion.

But, astrology (esp sun sign only astrology) tends to do that with all signs with various abstract concepts. For instance, Libras and fairness. Another hazey concept that Leebs objectively shouldn't get special credit for.

Astrology is mainly just for fun, as I see it. 🙂

On a more serious note, a Scorpio acquaintance I trust and respect once communicated to me his distaste for some of my more figure-conscious clothing. He was very subtle and gentlemanly about it, though, to the point that I DID start dressing more conservatively for his comfort. I felt more like I was doing him a favor than he was controlling me.

See, I think I'm an appropriate dresser for whatever occasion. I was at the club in NOLA I might add. (Not the most conservative city. Howewer, if I was on a date with him or going to meet his mom, my attire would def be more conservative. That's why I didn't understand his concern. Short shorts, mini skirts & crop tops are regular nightlife attire. It wasn't like I wore something out inappropriate for where I was.

1) I'm glad you think you're an appropriate dresser. Obviously, Scorp did not.

2) You don't know NOLA. Bourbon Street and Tchoupitoulas are not the whole of NOLA.

Regarding the clothing "issue," in my experience with Scorpios, the males like a bit more coverage on females. I think it intrigues their sense of mystery and their "prey drive." The more covered you are, the more they can imagine what you'd look like uncovered (or partially uncovered) and they can anticipate "uncovering" you. They like discovering (and rediscovering) stuff.

Scorpio nature is sometimes possessive, selfish, and jealous. They covet beauty for their own pleasure and prefer not to share that pleasure. He might think you've got killer legs, but he doesn't want everyone else in the world coveting your killer legs.

I'm a leo so if I like a man I do like a bit of extra adoration if you will. Maybe a slight obsession, but I don't want to be told how to run my life.

I bet you're from some little stupid town in louisiana no one knows and is trying to tell me I don't know NOLA. Have several seats. I haven't been on Bourbon for fun since I was 16. Both my parents are from NOLA and 2 grandparents and 1 great grandparent. 7th ward ALL DAY. My dad's family migrated to NOLA in the late 1800's. Sit your ass down.

I bought my first house here at 25. Been all over the world and have never met a city quite like it.

Regarding your comment: "I was at the club in NOLA I might add. (Not the most conservative city." it's not stupid. It's woefully ill-informed and suggests to me you haven't experienced much of the actual city beyond the clubs (which, of course, are intended to attract tourist dollars).

Me being in the club in NOLA suggests that I haven't experienced much of the city beyond that? How? Please explain. Who the heck never goes out in their own city?

So I'm seeing a new scorpio guy. I met him awile ago, but we just started conversing more consistently recently. Any who, I know Scorpios can have a reputation for being posessive and sometimes controlling.

I saw him outside of a club, I had on shorts, they were kind of short. He immidiately tells me to "go out clothes on". He said it matter of factly, not mean or assertive. But I was wondering if this was an introduction of things to come. What do you all think?

Well I am a Scorpio girl and to be very honest, I do have controlling tendencies. Sometimes I don't mean to sound controlling/dominating but I might come off across as being exactly that to the other person. But, when I do assert my opinion, it is out of an extreme sense of possessiveness. I don't know if your Scorp guy is feeling possessive or not, chances are that he is... and if he is, that can be both a good and bad thing.

You're dealing with a Scorp male and we Scorps love power... especially Scorp guys.. they love to be the one in power in a relationship ( I've witnessed this first hand with my best friend's boyfriend). They do seek power but at the same time, if they like you.. like actually like you... then they'll not hesitate to show that. You'll feel very loved.

Ultimately, it's up to you if you can deal with these tendencies of a Scorpio man.. there will be some great things about him but there will also be some flaws. But, whatever it is, don't do anything that makes you unhappy! 🙂

I think I'm the only Scorpio not really worried about clothes. I mean, as long as you're not falling out of your clothes when we're out, I'm fine. For me it's more of how you act. If you're not flaunting yourself, I don't mind something a little more revealing. If you're in a short skirt shooting pool, I'll have a problem with it. If I have a problem with something my girl is wearing, I tell her before we leave home or I'm not going. Period.

There are plenty is scorpion men in the entertainment industry. Leo DiCaprio being my personal fav. He always has a model on his arm & guess what? They are never modes dressers. I've seen them in everything from mini skirts to daisy dukes, while they are with him. So I'm not sure why you all think this is a big deal for EVERY scorpio.

Hollywood is not normal life.

I thought you were asking about your Scorp? Leonardo DiCaprio is not your Scorp. And you are not a high-fashion wearing model.

Leo probably doesn't complain about what his women wear. And the women Leo dates probably don't complain about him being off on location filming movies for 8 months out of the year..

Tell me though - would YOU be okay with your man being gone for 3/4ths of the year? If the answer is anything other than "yes, that wouldn't bother me at all", then I fail to see how the example above applies to the point you're trying to make, or to your relationship.

I gave an answer based on a previous experience I've had. Then you blast me for comparing the two men. I was not. I was only stating that I would be ok with a man who's career took him away for long periods of time. THATS IT. Dont ask questions you clearly don't really want answered.
