This is a very important thing for me to know:are Scorpios selfish?
I can bear with them being dominant and controling-sometimes-but I couldn't stand the idea of them being selfish!!!
So,are Scorps like that or ...?

oooh, honestly, some can be. The ones that some refer to as "lower" or "unevolved" Scorpios can tend toward selfishness. BUT, I know quite a few who are generous, just not quite as generous as a Leo would be. I would guess that the reason why the sign has a tendency to be selfish has something to do with the fact that we're not too keen on relying on others because we have a deep seated fear that it's more likely they'll let us down than not, and so therefore, we tend to go about living our lives with "me" being the first priority. Not all of us, and not all the time, but some of us and the rest of us might come off as selfish in rare instances, but don't worry, we are capable of being generous. It's just that we are so self-reliant usually that we get used to thinking of things in terms of what "we" need and how it will affect "us" (Scorpios).

Indeed helped me to see things from a Scorp perspective.
In some cases I think it is even offensive the way they - some of them-are thinking ONLY about themselves.Especially when they act like this towards a generous person-feelings included.Being blunt and upfront with your own feelings is a proof of courage and generousity.And I expect the same in return.
From my point of view this means that those people are unreliable-and this is a very dangerous thing.The relationship is jeopardized in every moment by this insecurity.
And when it is obvious that someone needs a hand and it is in your power to offer that hand and you are not-well,that is more than selfishness for me-that is cruelty.
Anyway,Phoenix,you are a very generous person -I give you that!!!you take the time to help people to understand themslves or others-and that is a precious thing.

I have so much I could offer you, but I have to get ready to go to work, I will try to give you some help when I can. I have had the paramedics at my house at 4 this morning and then the dog got loose and I had to chase him down and now it is time to go to work! Never ending. You want to talk about cruelty and selfishness? Come talk to me!

And this is about the health care system and the government in general. People without health insurance that need help should not have to suffer disrespect and humilation and suffer like they do!!! I am so pissed I could do like Denzel did in that movie.

I dont want to generalize about Scorpios because I have mostly love for them and have rarely met one I didnt like or admire or at the very least respect; but with that said, I have known a few that were selfish. When they are after something and pursuing something they want, the desire becomes almost insatiable but that is only when they are intrested. They go to extremes. It's all or nothing.

If the relationship is established and solid, I would never even worry about or question a Scorpios devotion. Why? Because if they have committed themselves to you they will be the most loyal person you have ever been with. Hard to get to know and gain their trust but loyalty is never an issue, not from my own experience. I think they are the most wonderful people of all the signs in the zodiac I cant think of anything not to like about them.

Hmmm, about that Cuban cigar. With a scorpio (especially male), it very well could be symbolism, but I don't think so, unless he's been bringing up the topic of oral sex or Clinton or weird kinky sex with props lately. lol. No really, think about that for a minute; has he? Because then I would definitely say it's a message. But if not, I'd say he probably got you that for the quality of the gift, and also because he wants to watch you smoke it. Hehe. The whole cigar thing is totally phallic, so pretty much any way you look at it, there's a sexual undertone I think. lol 🙂

On a more serious note, I have seen that side of Scorp males myself--the cold, icy thing. But, rest assured--they are never, ever shallow or unfeeling--it's a ruse. It's a smokescreen that they usually create when their feelings are hurt, or they are protecting themselves, or they are angry about something. He's bragging about being mysterious? Oooh, that would annoy me. I think you should show him you're not interested in his mystery. It will frustrate him, but it will also kind of turn him on because his inclination will be to *make* you interested. Which involves a challenge, which all Scorps like from time to time. Don't let him see you trying to figure out his mystery, because that will only egg on the bragging more. Make him think you could do with or without it, and see what happens.

I hear that it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. But, I think sometimes it is better not to. If you have never loved, then you would not have to suffer so much. I still believe 'LOVE' is worth it and the price it may cost, because in this world there is NOTHING that compares.

Ok, Bella, it is plain to see now. I loved your message. Are you sure you're not a Scorpio? LOL Who could deny you anything? You're perfect. The way you describe his smell is like a 'man'-- earthy! You are a women after my own heart! He may be in serious trouble if he ever lets you catch him! lol But is he there for you enough and what about your happiness. You dont sound satisfied or happy. How long are you willing to wait? Sometimes its hard to put your life on hold for someone, especially if you dont know what the outcome will even be. Are you sure you want him? Well, about the phallic symbolism, I'm just going on what I've heard before, that anything a guy gives to you that's remotely shaped like...well, boy parts (LOL), is a sexual message, whether he consciously knows that or not. That may or may not be backed up by psychologists, but I've heard that many times.

Bella, every scorp is different, but when I am in love, I think about the other person constantly, lose my appetite, dream about them, and put them on a pedestal (not good, I know, but I do it). I smile always when talking to them, and I find everything they say to be interesting...I also look them in the eye the entire time they're talking.

I also blush and get shy...but like I said, not all scorps are this way, particularly male ones.
