How do you best handle Venus in Scorp?

I have aries sun, scorp asc, leo moon, aqua mars and venus. My personality is much more the other aspects, I don't relate to my sun sign at all whatsoever. Kind of an odd mixture.
I'm used to being the intense one in dating situations, so being on the receiving end throws me off a bit. My aqua placements also make me fairly aloof though, so I have this constant inner struggle of being too aloof/cold or being too intense. Hence wondering which they respond better to or have a personal preference for, since I tend to swing either way

In the beginning it's all yay, but you're gonna be irritated at eachother if you don't have other aspects/houses that will make it "stick" or that you understand eachother's love nature.

in general, venus in water and venus in earth are much more compatible.
for example, Libra sun Alyssa sharpe has venus in virgo, so that's earthy plus she is mostly earth, with mars and Taurus moon. so her husband is scorpio/scorpio venus, aries rising, cancer moon.
there is an incompatibility firstly in the sun, but it depends on the houses/aspects, and most especially the long term durability are your personal /love planets.
she's a Taurus /virgo dominant with pisces rising, with your aqua venus/ aqua mars, leo moon, there's way too much squaring going on.

Well for me, probably because of the air signs I have in my chart, it works when the other person acts a bit distant and it's not too clingy. I still want to know where I stand for them, though. As for the Venus in Scorpio in general, we prefer getting to know you before disclosing ourselves. For me it might be a little easier since of my libra planets but your guy seems more on the water signs so it's totally understandable. I'm sure he would like intensity and emotion from you

He talks far too slowly. I was 38 seconds in waiting for him to hurry the fuck up and make a point. Any point. All I got was ViS are attractive. I wanted to hurry him up!
Posted by thepoodleBe you. Don't play at anything. I'm a Scorp sun and Venus. We are not all intense and as fucked up as astrology makes out. Some of us function rather well! I don't think you can 'match' intensity. You either are intense or you're not. It's not really something you can switch on or off. Your Scorp Asc probably doesn't notice his intensity. I had an Aqua Sun ex with Scorp Asc (lots of Cap too) and I found him significantly more intense than me. Therefore, you might be a good level of intensity already with a little detachment with the Aqua side.
In the early stages? I've read they're pretty intense emotionally, but I see no signs of this. He comes off as very calm, cool, and collected. He is either libra or scorp sun (cusp bday), venus scorp, mars scorp, cancer moon. He does come on a little strong as far as eye contact, personal space etc, but I have a scorp asc so it doesn't bother me. Lots of personal questions about me, or questions I know he is asking already having the 'right' answer in his mind lol. He doesn't talk much about himself, but if I ask anything directly he seems fairly open and honest.
To catch/keep their attention long term, is it better to match their intensity? Or play it a little cool? I understand them somewhat due to my scorp asc, but venus/mars scorp and possibly a scorp sun is a LOT and I've heard they can be tricky and secretly play games. If you have venus scorp, are you more interested in someone who is intense back to you? or someone who is kind of aloof?
I want a balance of intensity and aloof, back and forth. I'm a Pluto/Scorp heavy Libra w Scorp Venus.

I bet he also has cap mercury to go with all that cap and his virgo sun.
at least he is soothing, and calm. It's a good place for a water sign (without too much air and fire) to be in.
