I have a huge crush on this guy at work, let’s call him Bryan. He is in a higher position than me so we don’t ever work together. Something about him makes me very attracted(I don’t mean physically) to him. Don’t get me wrong - I find him very attractive(I love his smile), I just feel drawn to him. Why him? I honestly don’t know because I don’t really know him that well. Bryan is very reserved guy but through small talk about Netflix I found out that he has a great sense of humor.
I’ve noticed that when I deliberately ignore him(when I feel like I’m not getting attention from him. I’m a Scorpio after all), I see more of him & he’ll initiate more.
A coworker(who I hang out with - Bryan knows that) told me that Bryan brought my name up quite a few times when they were at an office dinner. The next time Bryan and I see each other, I am with a friend leaving the office & we bump into him. They have a conversation, that I have nothing to contribute to, but while they are having a conversation, he looks at me. A lot. So much so that when my friend & I were walking away her jaw was dropped & she said “He wasn’t looking at me!” The next day, with the help of some confidence, I asked if he had my number. I’ve never done that before and it was the most vulnerable I’ve felt in a very long time. It it payed off! He doesn’t initiate texts and that frustrates me because that same friend, who was at the dinner with him, also told me that when they were at lunch, Bryan asked him questions about me. This lunch happened after the dinner & after we exchanged numbers.
To be fair, when I text him, he does engage. However, why ask about me when you have my number?! I ask questions all the time so I feel like I’m making it known that I am open to talking.
Long story short: In my opinion, we have a push-pull thing going on.
What are his motives??
I should note: I’ll never approach him about any of this because, well, y’all know. I’m a Scorpio.

First of all, I don't know why we scorpions, need so much validation from the outside that someone has a crush on us, when we already know that. We know, specially if you have Venus in Scorpio. So trust your intuition, don't doubt it ever. So he has a crush on you too... what are you going to do?
I'd say, give him some hints of your interest, don't try to appear that mysterious, stare at him back, slightly touch him, laugh, etc. they LOVE to flirt.

I understand, it shows your interest. But just like you said it's a push and pull situation and that's flirting isn't it?
Just see how it goes and continue if he continues, it should lead you somewhere. I think it's worth it if you really like him and wanna get to know him fondly.

I’m a Sag with this placement. I’ve told you before that you are taking too long. He needs a sign. He has too much fire and you are taking your sweet time. If he doesn’t know for sure you’re interested, he’s not gonna make a move.
We chase when there is something to chase.

I'm a scorp sun but with scorp venus and Leo Mars. I am water and fire. When I want something (outside of relationships) I've no problem going after it. I don't pursue men (anymore) but I'd make my interest clear and if they were interested then they'd pursue. My boyfriend is Taurus with Leo moon and Aries venus so he's earth and fire. He had no problem pursuing me despite his worry regarding direction as I'd made my interest clear. One of my best friends, a guy, is also a scorp sun with scorp venus and Leo Mars. He has an aries moon so another fire moon. He's in his 50's and he used to tell me his dating stories and also how he met his wife of almost 30 years (another scorpio, they're only one week apart). There's obviously a back story to this which isn't in this thread but as a water with fire I can tell you I have zero patience for pretty much everything. Certainly not some tentative romance that doesn't do anything or go anywhere. I'm Sag merc (like OP) so I'd certainly have been direct, sarcastic, and more than likely put my foot in it by now 😆

What I didn’t mention is that he does not identify as gay. I know he has had girlfriends but idk if he has ever had experiences with other men.
The main problem I see is you have very different style s of communication, but other than that I think it seems there is quite the potential there
