Exactly. In fact I would argue that the 'submissive' actually holds all the control.
Think about it. They control when the session ends and, typically, what sort of environment their fantasy plays out in.
While the 'dominant' has to live up to their fantasy. They have to be able to walk the line of pain and pleasure, they must know how far to push the sub without sending them over the edge. Really they are the ones being controlled.

I know it all to well as I was raised by a Scorpio mother. Worked with numerous Scorpio women.
Scorpio women stand back and observe with their eyes and facial expressions not their hands. Unless in a private intimate moment.
Even if they are a chatterbox they don't run around hugging people looking for approval. Unless there are warmer more out going placements in the chart.

There was this one time with my very first ex.....Cap with a Sag moon.

Personally, I do not dislike them I simply prefer subtle public displays of affection.
In fact, I particularly enjoy when my s/o and I have our own code of looks and touches. To be able to communicate in such a way which still satisfies the need for public displays of affection whilst remaining very private.
The whole world does not need to see the acts that I do with my s/o in private nor do I feel the need to impose myself and my s/o unto others.

As for your second question, public displays of affection and confidence are not correlated at all.
the other day i was with this guy ive been kinda seeing on n off and he straight up stuck his tongue down my throat.. absolutely not okay... I was embarrassed, that's messy to me.. I dont' mind PDA but... know when to tone your shit down.. dont be all up in my shit.. I'm a private person... and for me lack of confidence is irrelevant.

For me it just feels awkward and uncomfortable. I shouldn't have to put on a show for others to prove my love. I'm also a very private person and in my opinion it's meant to be done behind closed doors.Thankfully, most of the men I've dated aren't big on PDA's. I'll never forget though a few years ago I was dating this Pisces and we were in line at the movie theater waiting to get our tickets. The entire time he was standing behind me with his arms around my waist, kissing me on my neck. I kept inching forward hoping he'd get the hint because my Libra Rising didn't want to hurt his feelings. I don't care how much in love with someone I am...it is just uncomfortable for me.
For me...I don't care about PDAs...and I do care about PDAs...
I respect that a woman doesn't like PDAs...sometimes I just forget that the rest of the world is there...seriously...
