In your example It bothers me when you keep talking over me and won't let me say anything. He's not sorry for doing it. He's sorry it bothers you. As crazy as that sounds it's pretty self evident by the fact he continues with the action.
Change the opinion into a statement, remove the options, add (and stand by) consequences.
Using the same example Do not speak over me when I am speaking. I do not do it. I do not like it. If you continue to do so I will consider it an act of disrespect, and will respond accordingly.
I mean... it probably doesn't have to be to that degree, but it may.

I can listen like half the time, but if I'm exhausted from a long day or just fatigued in any way, I really can't listen for too long to anyone for that matter. Let's not front though, women can ignore and not listen to us guys either. It goes both ways.

This would be one of those things...That could be reversed and asked why women dont listen to the simplest most sensible "advice" and input. But its perspective I guess. Many Men think women are hard headed too and dont listen. But whats the point of mentioning it just quietly take it into account..so is there an answer?
