I’m just going by what I’ve seen which is kids finding out their dads or mums have cheated and the fallout from that. It can screw up a child or teen. I know that’s due to conditioning but even so most kids deep down want their mum and dad to be faithful to each other ... rightly or wrongly?
So that goes back to what I was saying about conditioning kids from a young age. Why do they want mom and dad to be faithful? It wouldn’t possibly be because what movies, TV, and books paint as “romance”, would it?
What if we instead taught them that mommy and daddy are both human, and humans instinctually are attracted to several people throughout their life times?
There are too many outside influences in the world for this to work.
Haven't you seen how damaged men can be when they grow up with a mom who had a constant flow of men coming in and out of her bedroom and the kid saw it? Some of these guys grow up hating women, and have no respect for women because of how their mother acted.
When kids are involved, this type of behavior is iffy. There would still need to be some sort of stability, like a poly relationship, where all of them are loving and committed.
Many partners coming and going isn't love, it's just sex, and anyone can have that. That doesn't teach a child anything, just that their mom is horny and likes sex.click to expand

I's tough to see the toll it takes on men. Sex and intimacy should be as discreet as possible. It's not for children's eyes when it isn't a part of a loving foundation.
Same goes for girls who have daddy issues and look for love with any man they come across sexually.
It's sad to see anyone that equates sex with strangers as some sort of love relationship.

It takes two people for this to be accomplished. I don't judge this type of thing either. They are all adults and have choices to make. Whether selfish or not.
Married people have more to lose if they get found out, so I would think they would be smarter about their decisions on the matter. But people cheat in marriage, just like in relationships, some just don't have any regrets about it.

Just realise that we’ve all got the choice to take as many partners as we choose but to be mindful of how it affects others ie wives and kids. I can’t see that changing. Children need to feel secure.

Men are pretty simple. He was probably just enjoying his time with his family yesterday.

Kids that are damaged like this usually don't have very loving parents. They are usually kids in a neglected household with a parent who may have addiction issues.

If I was confronted directly by a wife (or children, who knows maybe they’re old enough to have cell phones idk) I wouldn’t play it off like this.
I minimize it in this thread because it is a hypothetical situation I have yet to experience, which is saying a lot because I have been involved with a lot of married men. Anything can happen, but considering I’m good at reading people, weeding out ones who can be discreet and one’s who are too disorganized to hide things, and the fact that the devil (or maybe a guardian Angel, who knows) is on my side, I don’t foresee my affairs being brought to light and as such I will not be adding the emotional harm done to his family to my list of things to worry about until I cross that bridge.
And I will say of all the affairs I’ve had that coincidentally had divorces involved down the line, each one of those men denied it was because of their own extramarital affairs with me (though one said it was because of another affair he had so I thought that was interesting; another with 7 kids said his wife was cheating as well and left him for her affair partner). I stopped messing with men who are similar to those 2 examples; they have a few key things in common so it’s not hard to spot them a mile away.
