Hi, could you advice me on how I should comfort a Virgo friend when she is upset? So recently, a Virgo friend of mine has been going through a rough patch, and she constantly feels under-appreciated (from what I deduce) and that she's not doing enough. We've never been the closest of friends, but recently we spent some time together and she started telling me about her problems and fears. I tried to comfort her and validate her a bit, but she seemed to be pretty closed off, almost as if she just wanted to get the matter off her chest and not listen to other's take on it. How do Virgos like their friends to help them? Should I 1. Support her emotionally by encouraging her and telling her everything is going to be alright 2. Give her practical advice on how to proceed 3. Just listen to her and tell her I'll be there for her no matter what. I'm very concerned about her, so I'd really appreciate some advice, regardless of your sign, thank you! (Also, if it helps, I'm a Pisces Sun, Aquarius Moon, and Aries Rising)

I'll tell you a neat trick other than listening to her vent or providing advice. I'm not keen on quietly listening...makes me feel like I am talking to a wall.

Come up to her with a problem of your own that requires her analysis. She will focus on that and forget about her troubles for a while. I've constantly done that to escape mine (unless I am saturated and then I shut down but this only happened this year after many many years where no matter how bad it went for me, I could switch from that to help others..so your odds are looking good).

Another trick my best friend employs is to lure me outside or get my attention with travel plans or some new experience he heard and thinks we should do.

Aww boo how are things with the scorpio moon? Do I need to stab someone? 🔪 click to expand

Lol, nothing stop you from seizing an opportunity to stab a Scorpio moon. Leave them be, I made friends with one at work, I swear it's the one moon I encounter most lol. Let's delay the stabbings for a while. As for the Scorpio moon in question, things ended last July.

It's not about him or anyone in particular though, it's just a lot of things sped up in my life this year and with little time to spare, I shut down. I don't have time for many things now and I guessed this process of adapting made people think I don't care. I have to focus on myself, need to go for an MRI scan on my back on Thursday. Feeling selfish but I guess some selfishness is warranted in life.

Just check in on her when you feel like, that would mean more than helping her solve her problem. Showing genuine care and letting her know you will be there if needed will be enough for a virgo
