... probably within the next two generations .. the english language will have been replaced with dat, wit, neva .. etcetra.

I certainly hope something stops this from occurring, but if things continue down the path we are on now, you very well may be right. I personally detest such language, because I think it just makes you look dumb. As a Virgo, I pride myself on the fact that I am articulate. I just wish everyone else thought this way about our beautiful language.

Of course we speak English. There is no language called "American". We may speak a slightly different dialect of English than the British do, but that doesn't mean we don't speak English. And I have to disagree with you; English certainly does have "feeling" to it. It is a Germanic language, of course, so it won't have the smooth sounds of Spanish or French. But I'd rather a "guttural" language like English or German than a romance language. They sound more masculine.

I like English also and believe it to be truer in terms of conveying what is meant. In other languages, as we know, they use the same noun and simply change the possessive .. male/female. Or whatever it is called .... le/la, los/las

Yeah well ...... "bitch" just isn't the same when you have to put a feminine possessive pronoun in front of it .... that is what makes it have no soul, no feeling to it.

Bitch should be just that ......... maybe only adding a verb like "fucking" in front of it.

You want to know the feelings of the languages?

First: You should live in the culture of the desired language for at least 5 years uninterrupted.

Second: You should investing your time reading/writing in real local literature like poetry, like philosophical and historical novels, like classical treasures etc.

Converting ?? ORAL?? into —WRITTEN?? form is not an ART and certainly does not represents the local culture, it is more like an unwanted trash received by a bunch of arrogant street gangs with their —graffiti?? on someone else's property in the name of creative art??.

Literary speaking, it is direct blasphemy; it is disturbing and sabotaging the roots of any languages and cultures around the world.

But truth to be told, my generation should have been taken responsible —if not to be blamed?? for this unpleasant and undesirable anomaly not the "LeGendary ViRGo"??s generation, if we weren't so damn arrogant and ignorant this shouldn't be happen in the first place.

Damn generation of —mom and dad?? at work and let the kids grow up with the TV culture without a responsible pedagogical representatives have created this.

Worse to come, it is popular —NETglish?? age now??_..!

How do you feel as a parent when your kid witnessing a funny situation and instead of laughing constantly saying LOL,LOL,LOL,LOL?

Scary huh..?

I could respect someone who learns and speaks a real language.dis, dat,un da otha is just bull shit. 🙂

And I suspect in another couple of generations, maybe less, we will be in that place. The majority of communication for kids these days are in texts, and that's the language they use in their communication. I wouldn't be surprised if that's how they verbally talk to their friends and families.

In class is the only place that would attempt to get them to talk right .. but, teacher's hands are tied these days and they don't have any rights when it comes to discipline ... and you know they are talking to their friends in the hallway, the same way as they are texting ... so, if they choose to communicate in class that way, there is nothing a teacher can do about it. And if a teacher fails a student because of this language problem, then mother will say teacher is picking on her little tyke (eventhough he's 16 years old, and enabling him to remain a perpetual irresponsible outcast by the very doing of it).

::: shakes head ::::

Sitting here fucking glad my days will have been over so I don't have to live through times where we are proud to be stupid.

It's likely that it's ghetto talk, mostly ... so, we would have to make the assumption that inner cities (where most ghetto's are) are dumber than the suburbs and rurals.

That's a scary thought.

What's sad is that all the important people live in the cities, and they are breeding .... so, this means thier offspring are dumber than those in the suburbs and rurals .... and the ones with clout, who can drop names are the ones who rise.

Scary thought .....,

This is because people who live in these areas do not have access to the same level of education as those who live in surburban areas.
