lol.. ouch!

to the OP... why does it matter? i'm getting to see holidays as sort of trivial stuff nowadays. i'm nowhere near being a grinch but i just don't see the point in NEEDING to celebrate with a significant other. for the record, i've never celebrated any of those holidays with a boyfriend.. the exception being Vday... my first time last year. hah! was just like any other day in retrospect.

The last 2 Valentine's Days I got dumped so I'm kinda used to spending the day solo, Nextflixing a bunch of chick flicks while pigging out on a box of chocolates.

I dont find how being alone on those days misery at all.

One makes their own misery. If you are not with someone, go hang with friends, family or celebrate on your own. Go to the movies, bake cookies, anything other than sitting around soaking in self pity. That will just make everything worse.

I am saying how can you be around people all the time and not have any quiet time to yourself. Not that hard to understand, the world doesn't revolve around us. People can't be there when you call. I know people who is fine with their own self as company.

So the silver Lining here how can you deal with people but you can't deal being alone with yourself?

don't depend on other people for happiness. If you're happy by yourself and love your own company you are indeed super lucky. There are miserable people out there just miserable by themselves. self-hate i guess.

if you can find that person that complements you, you're indeed super lucky. either way, super lucky.

only UNlucky if you are miserable with the company of someone who makes you miserable, even if that's yourself. Just imagining that is HORRIBLE.
