I know "they" say as you get older time goes by quicker...but fuck I'm not that damn old yet.

Seriously though...time has been flying by for me. I cant seem to get anything done because there is just not enough time in the day. I look at the clock on min and the next min the day is over with and I'm like wait I have all this shit to do. Like I just look on here and the last time I posted anything was from 7 months ago....it seriously feels like it only been about two months tops...but 7? I am busier at work but this even happens when I'm at home doing literally nothing. I dont like it...I feel rushed all the time which then brings my anxiety to a whole other level. Is this normal....is this what the elders have been talking about or is this a little on the unusual side? I would say this started about 2 years ago but I'm really feeling the effects more now,,,like its been a slow process, little things here and there and now its in full effect.

anybody feeling this or am I just crazy?

that link gave me anxiety ha!

And LIMM, I hear you loud and clear girl. Ive noticed time getting shorter since my early 20s but since I turned 25 I realllly started noticing it alot more heavily especially now that Im older... I think its because we have less leisurely time to enjoy.

Be sure to put some time aside to relax, to breathe in some fresh air some place where there is no traffic or noise.

Yep every day seems like this for me right now, though it doesn't make sense because the faster you go, the faster time should move. I've been in the same place for a handful of years now and it's not slowing down.

I'm with you on that! I've been in the same place for a number of years also and the time just goes by at warp speed. Its just a very unsettling feeling.

I'd say since becoming 20 or so time has flown by for me.

I'll look back at pictures of two/three years ago and it feels like that was so long ago, and even struggle to remember those times clearly.

To me 2000-2010 never happened. Not like I don't remember, I remember it all but as a legit decade. It's like it didn't even exist.

Thats the thing ...the only time my life is busy is when I'm at work. Which does make sense that time would go by somewhat faster...but its seriously like I clock in, do a spin move and clock out...that is way too fast and I wish I was exaggerating but I'm not. Usually when I get home and weekends...I'm doing nothing but relaxing but time just flys on by.

I just feel like this is to young to be feeling that way....maybe I will ask some older colleagues when time started to speed up for them...maybe that will help me get a grasp on this. It has been really been bothering me and not in the sense of "omg my life is almost over" its a different kinda of feeling.

For me it feels the opposite as weird as that sounds....like high school doesnt feel that long ago even though its been 10 plus years.
which makes this even weirder....how can things feel like they happened yesterday but yet I feel as though time is flying by....

I think I just mind fucked myself lol

age doesn't dictate the movement of time

True but the older the age the more I heard about how time flys by but never around what age they noticed it. I never heard from the younger generation that they feel the same until some stated it in this thread.
so its interesting to compare and contrast between the generations.

Life really kicks into gear once you have children. My two boys (not twins) are both 14 and will start HS next year. It seems like yesterday I was changing diapers.

As a kid, I wanted to get older so I could be more independent. Now, I'd give a kidney to be in my 30's again.

As they say, youth is wasted on the young.

If you're still young and single, enjoy your life and do everything you can to fulfill your independence/dreams/experiences. Once you get married and have children, "your time" becomes "their time."

The speed in which time travels does not change.

People slow down.

The reason you can't get as much done is because people move slower as age progresses.

But, time isn't changing .. you are changing the speed in which you move.

also you may want to do more so that it doesn't feel like you're letting time slip away

that's your subconscious telling you to do more in life

possibly...I do lead a very boring life. Sometimes I'm ok with this and other times...I'm like I have have little stories to tell...I need more stories.

So I just need to accept that I'm getting older...nothing has changed but me.

Technically we all kind of do go back to a kid like state as we get older...at least our minds do but yeah I can imagine with having kids...it most def flys by. I'm not there yet but even when someone says they are pregnant....next thing I know they already are having the child...I'm sure for them 9 months feels like forever but for the outsiders it seems like they just announce they were pregnant a month ago lol. Then the next thing you know the are announcing that the child is in kindergarten etc.

Time seriously is weird. I'm gonna have to get a grasp on this...its bothering me just as must as the concept of 3D printing (a whole other story lol)

We perceive time to move faster when we are repeating the same experiences over and over again. Your brain subconsciously takes shortcuts processing information its already familiar with, when you are in this auto pilot mode, you are not as aware of the time you are experiencing.

If you want to slow down life, experience new things... change your routine
