Not at all.
I look however I care to, although it's not like I would wear sandals and shorts to a black tie affair.

I wouldn't consider myself vain but I do love beautiful things. I'm a total girly girl and I love fashion so I always have to be either somewhat dressed up or look stylish even for casual events. Not for outside pressure or to impress anyone bit just for myself because when you look good you feel good 🙂

no I don't consider myself vain. I think of myself as an average looking girl.

I do tend to dress nice but that is mostly due to work plus I worked retail for years, I became a clothes fiend. When I was a kid, didn't give a crap and it showed, miss matched clothes in all my elementary school pictures!

Oh thank goodness I'm not the only one! Lol 😄

I think of myself as a pretty vain person most of the time. I like/want to (and on some level need to look nice and be properly presentable, and I work pretty hard at it.

The older I get though the more I'm starting to feel guilty about it. I keep looking at all the money I've spent on product and thinking I should be using it to feed starving children or saving whales or something. :/

Because we've been around to see more or less all there is to see here in this one microcosm of life. We've begun to adopt those rose colored glasses of fondness for our most nostalgic past.

I find myself wondering if this isn't a sign that it's time to move on and explore new horizons. Gotta keep it moving, ever onward and upward.

I feel the same way... Like you, I am also wondering if I could ever find some other site where I'd feel the same way as I felt the first few months I was here. Dxp brought me to the spiritual world. It was magical. It was lovely. I thought the feelings will never end... but it did.

2013-14 were the garden years of my life. So much soul-searching took place. Now that I know so many things about myself, there seems to be nothing else to know. I am glad, though, that I came here at almost the same time as many others... Ands, you, CluelessCancer, PVAF, and Tiziani!

I certainly wouldn't call 13-14 the garden years of my life but I can certainly share the sentiment. 🙂

I've nearly come to a decision that my only purpose here now is to give back what I can and where I can now that I feel I've learned nearly everything available in these waters. Perhaps I can help a few souls discover a thing or two before my time is done. Like you though, I am grateful for the good times we've shared and the opportunity for personal character growth experienced here. It's been a good run for sure.

Personal Character Growth... my mum said I matured 5 years in just a matter of a year! DXP has contributed so much to it, I believe. I am so much stronger now coz I am juggling about 10 problems nowadays butI still feel okay. In around 2012, I had very few but always felt something is missing!

I know that feeling so very well. There's a piece of me that thinks it's our curse as Virgos to be forever searching the horizon for something... something to not be named in presence. As if we are born with a part our soul selves missing, and to have knowledge of that which is gone whatever it once was and shall future be.

Or that could be my Neptune talking.

Either way, it's a hard road we walk. Virgos get bashed a lot for negativity but is it not a part of our soul purpose to see the flaws in this physical world and long to correct them? Maybe even as a gateway to the transpersonal.

-Not in the least bit
-nope and present myself the way I want to, not by what others think.
-I dont wear makeup (the most is mascara), or have the latest greatest fashion....I wear what is comfortable and things that will last me years to come. If people dont like me the way I am, then fuck em.

@TMV, I think most of the people who bash us Virgos are women disappointed with their Virgo men. I dont know why they seem to glue themselves on this sign. It should be more of a Venus thing, I believe...

No. But I do like to go all Pacino like "Vanity..definitely my favorite sign"

I don't know..I don't feel pressure. Only things I have to live up to is my standards for myself..and my commitment to live this wonderful life without breaking my principles. The rest is ever changing so I don't fret about it.

The one thing that sounds like "a certain way"..when I explain myself. Just because I want to make things clear, not because I care about the image I project. The way people see us presenting ourselves is out of our control.
