all successful relationships do have boundaries where you set your needs/wants as well as your partner's. then see if this needs/wants are capable to be met. of course it will take honesty and sincerity to know what these needs are but there's no soul on earth who will have a clue what these needs are without talking things through and that's when compromises takes place.
