Hey, Archer. I set 3 goals, but only met one. It was to lose 20 pounds by June, which I did...actually I've lost 25 yay me! The other was to start grad school by summer semester, but that didn't happen. I forgot the other one, but I know had 3 😛
no, i started swimming regularly again and cut my calories down to 1500 per day.
Yes, I used to swim quite regularly in HS, College and few years after, but I stopped and the weight creeped on.
They say Sag's love their exercise. Is this the same for you archer? All the sag's I know are natural athletic. Walking and swimming are good I agree. After I go swimming my tummy always feels a little bit tighter. I dunno if this is psychosomatic but anyway my body feels more refreshed cos the suspension in the pool allows my bones to naturally spring back to their natural positions.
For me tho consistency is the problem. I'll be full of enthusiasm initially and then be lazy and not to it for a while. It's silly cos I actually like swimming!
MD,
You feel tighter after swimming because you are using all your muscles while swimming - providing you are actually swimming laps and not just wading. Swimming is also good for people who can't do the high impact exercise - same benefits, a few more calories, and less stress on your joints.
Consistency is what tends to women's issue in terms of exercise. They say it takes 21 days to develop a habit. It sucks because well for 21 days I can swim, but days 22-28, I don't because of my monthly visitor....so I just do free weights, but I just look at the pool and wish I was in there.
Archer I've noticed that a lot of November Sag's anyway are on the slim/petite size. A November 29 Sag guy I've been lusting after for AGES has an absolutely brilliant physique. In fact it's so nice it used to put me off cos he looked like a male model. He is not that tall either but simply GORGEOUS looking. Ok stoppit MD! ........Oh yes the point I was trying to make is that he doesn't have a weight issue although he's very sporty.
This year sucked ass.
you cried? were you ecstatic that someone could swing you afterall or were you scared that he was going to drop you?
Oooh I wonder the same thing archer. Well I hope to find out someday. Im not skinny bony. My weight and height are proportionate, though I can stand to lose some weight, atleast my stomachs flat and most of the fat is in the right places...😛
😉 Oh trust me I dont...I love 'em all...well sometimes.
" his discription reminds me of an ex scorp.. averge height and like a model, not too muscular. I always used to think since I am not skinny bony, so no man can lift me... lol ,,, and I wanted to feel that .... to cut a long story short he could lift me and swing around............... till I cried... it was one hell of experience... though he never looked muscular"
looks are deceiving... they are veeeeeeeeeeeery strong. i think they just know how to use every muscle ...at optimum performance.
every muscle? 😉
Oh soooooo sexy. I don't know whether my sag crush was physically stronger than average but probably. He was great in bed too, really athletic, and I checked his chart and he doesn't have any planets in scorpio as I recall. I'm trying to think of some actor he resembled....hmmm...let me see....oh yes I know...kinda similar or a combination of Benjamin Bratt and Mark Ruffalo who are both sag's also.
*nods at hp*
🙂
especially 'every muscle'
Sags are usually pretty strong, though they don't always look like that.
(ehem) now excuse me while i go flog myself for the dirty thoughts that just ran through my head
...thanks a lot, hp.
lol
LOL...sorry...the opportunity presented itself.
Yes!! My resolution was too loose 40lbs, which I did by June!! Now next year I need to quit smoking but am very hesitant on that one b/c thats what put the weight on me the previous year!! LOL Kind of a catch 22 huh....
congrats on the weight loss, Sag! How did you do it?
Eating right and forced exercise!! LOL I love physical activity, but hate exercising for the sake of exercising... It becomes so routine... Now if I could just work on quitting smoking... :-/
HP... I just realized you dropped 25lbs!! Awesome!! Hard as hell huh!! LOL
I've spent the last few months maintaining, and trying to get on a good routine, hoping that will help when I decide to quit smoking....
My biggest problem is after awhile I loose interest and forget why I started "whatever" to begin with.... (annoying sag trait) 😉
20007, huh? you have PLENTY of time to get those 10 pounds off. 😉

There are approximately 2.5 months left of 2006!
Who has set any goals/resolutions for 2006? Were you or will you be successful? No matter what the New Years' Resolution, I can't seem to follow it through. Any success stories?
