because Germany's population are mostly old folks and they need new people to inject new energy there.
I'm glad for them that they will find solace there too. The small country Switzerland is also saying they will take in 1,500, for as small as they are, they can take that.

-Don't like the stance on TPP though. The TPP is mostly investor protections for big business made behind closed doors. It's similar to NAFTA which has been disastrous for domestic jobs and one of the main reasons for the immigration problem.
-Like the child care initiatives which give benefits to working families.
-Like the plan to not upgrade to costly F-35 fighter jets. Money can be used elsewhere with few international enemies and the U.S. as a pseudo protectorate.
-Like allowing 25,000 Syrian refugees to relocate. Very compassionate in light of how little the U.S. is doing given that it created the problem.
-Like the effort to lower the costs of prescription drugs.
Biggest issue I have is his support for the Keystone Pipeline. It's the same argument I hear from self interested Texans..'Sure we're killing the environment for short term gain...but Jobs!' David Suzuki, the country's best-known science broadcaster, environmentalist—and a national treasure, was asked by Trudeau for his endorsement. Suzuki basically told him to fuck off. Trudeau has close ties to Keystone. David Gagnier, his campaign co-chair, was forced to step down last week after it emerged he had written a memo to TransCanada, the company building the pipeline, offering lobbying advice.click to expand

I really the display of tolerance and acceptance he's shown towards the Muslim community, who isostracized thanks to ISIS (total unislamic piece of shit those psychos are). A notable mention of that hijabi lady in his winning speech. I like how he's opening Canadian doors to, I believe 2,500 Syrian refugees. No, was just reading up on the policies he wants to implement. The only pic I ever saw was the one APC just posted doing some Putin style recreation.
There are some other issues, but was mostly interested on stances on Keystone. I tend to think of Canadians as more informed than the average American so I was surprised that the supposed liberal candidate supports it. I've read a couple of articles by environmentalists that say it's "game over for the environment" if it ever gets built. So I think it bears watching as well as TPP, which is a handout to big business like NAFTA was.

A sturdy, hardworking robot!
