How old are you both? My aqua did that with his ex. Dated for 10 years but he said he was very comfortable with her but didn't have a desire for her. So he cheated as told her he isn't happy and feels nothing....But maybe your situation is different. Have you guys fought? Are you clingy?
Im 27 and he is 32. Im not a clingy type at all. I never really smothered him but always gave him attention the same way he gave me.
We didnt fight. In fact everything seemed to be going really nice actually. He did say this in his speach. I dont know how he came up with this.

I wouldnt in million years have thought that he felt nothing. Cuz thats not what he was showing.
I went out to a friends bday party last night. It was all mutual group of friends that were there. Then my aquas closes mate came. He is also a very good friend of mine. Then they left. I heard he was goin to go pick aqua up.
When they came back. They went to another bar that was very close to where we went. His friend came back to where we was but aqua didn't. Thats how i know.
After some time i left. Walking down to my car i walked passed from where they were. I didnt look at him or said hi to anybody else. I just walked.
Ive seen his car parked right opposite mine. So as i drove i seen that they were walking. On my way ive seen a dead kitten in the street and the mother was there just looking at his killed baby
I have a cat. So it broke my heart. I pulled aside. I put the kitten somewhere else from the middle of the road.
Then i stood up and saw him driving down. . I walked back to my car. He stopped to check but i didnt want it. I was already in my car so i kinda told him with my hands nothing to worry about u can drive. So he did.

Observing is one thing and wishing such bad wish on women is another. Some of us dont deserve that, no human being deserves that. And % 80 of ladies would agree with me. At least that percentage is more realistic.

It's actually a shoker after so many pleads for closure to see someone who doesn't need nor want a closure and rather to be ghosted.
I think secretly it's her way of saying 'if you didn't tell me - I could fool myself into thinking you are terminally sick or make up something to soothe my ego'...
