Why Are Aquarius Known for Calming Others
Aquarius individuals are often seen as calming because they bring a rational, steady presence that helps reduce anxiety in others. Their calm demeanor and unique ability to understand and diffuse emotional turmoil make them effective in calming intense emotions and hysterical reactions.

Oh yeah, people tell me that... But I have a calm presence in general. I also know some crazy hyper aquas. It depends on the other placements, as always. I have a Capricorn stellium so... 😄
I think it also has to do with being able to stay emotionally detached when someone else is emotional. Without being cold, if you know what I mean. It's hard to describe... I think aquas have a high emotional intelligence, and can easily understand others without getting emotionally involved themselves...

I'm not crazy, but my aqua has a calming effect on me just the same.
When I'm irritated or upset, it's like he'll quietly listen and understand (he actually hears me) and then he can say one quiet little statement that gives me a different perspective and I'm like, "oh, okay" then I'm calm .
I've observed this too.
My uncle and dad. And my Aqua bestie.

it may be different since you are so water heavy. But i find Virgos or heavy earth people ground and calm me. But that may be me specifically due to my chart. I just would think earth grounds our airyness.
I also find water suns calming in a weird way. that can be suffocating at times thou..
Hmmm i get along with Aquarius havrnt noticed them calming me. Im pretty calm in general and usually have that effect on others. Aquas have a coolness about them too

I've always wondered this. I used to always be good at calming people down. Now idgaf. I think we do it because we hit the person who's freaking out with logic and make them see the positive side of a situation 😛

From my experience, Aquarius are very stingy with their energy, as in, they don't project their energy to those around them. This creates the effect of screaming into an empty void. Ironically, only on those I'm not emotionally involved with.. I don't know why certain friends called me up late at night or midnight when they were feeling highly depressed and suicidal. One was not even a close friend.. We just started working in the same team.Edited: Not really "only" with them. Even in emotionally involved relationships unless ive been hurt by the partner.
I think you all make us feel like you don't judge us.

I feel calmed by earth, but it doesn't touch my soul. I can be at full 100 damn psychotic episode and Aquarius will look at me with no judgment say the most logical ass shit, and I am over it. Maybe they don't calm everybody.

Aquas are a little insane and can go into abstract thought and take in different viewpoints. If an insane person says they see things that aren't really there, well then who are we to tell them that they aren't? I think that people are quick to judge so maybe that freaks the crazy person even more?
Works for me, why do people say Aquarius are insane? I have never met an insane one! There are more Aquarius in the hall of fame than any other sign.

That only figures in the attraction; My Cap and Libra placements have more influence in our relationship, I think. We're both super airy.
I've seen that too, a lot of people open up to me without me asking any questions. They just feel free and calm around me.and my brother is an Aqua as well, so he tells me how his friends tell him stories cause they say he's a good listener.
The problem is when our calmness starts attracting energy suckers,energy vampires, that can drain an Aqua for good, making an Aqua withdraw from such dramatic energy suckers.we wud rather be alone than be around energy suckers

Yep, that's based on my experience. It has been only with Aqua so far that I've experienced one-way connections (they connect with me, but I can't seem to tune into them.)

I have a cancer, a Taurus, an Aries, and a sag brother. Perhaps what you say is true, but that hasn't been my experience. Honestly, I can usually find something fascinating with every person I meet, but Aqua have been a bit of a shadow - like the extras in a TV show. Virgo have great senses of humor, in my experience. I haven't met one who didn't! Any time I meet someone and think "they are very Virgo like minus the personality/sense of humor" they turn out to be Aqua! @___@

Could it be my Aquarius. Moon, ive often had people tell me I just have to come in and sit down and I have an instant calming effect on people, thought it was something to do with some other placement ?
Ive also noticed some people just suck my energy out of me too, they seem to be drawn to my calmness.

Absolutely agree! Anytime i had an insecure moment my friend who is an aqua female or the guy i was dating who was an aqua would literally listen and say one sentence and i would be alrightttt again!! Same with my dad.. he doesn't say much but he is also and aqua but i feel he always listens, i think that's why they kinda calm others..

Well truth be told yes we do. Been working in different parts of the security business last 8 years and I've yet to find anyone that is able to calm down ppl like myself. Dont take it as bragging please its an honest observation, works on animals to like they sense the aqua somehow 😛
