Aries Capricorn - Why they are compatible

@Op- That is a lot of cardinal in you how do you manage emotions and relationships? When someone you like talks about emotions or love what do you do? What kind of action do you act on? Even better how do you handle confrontation?

At the moment I don't have a relationship, just came across a Capricorn man down in dumps because he lost his job. Well we both have been aware of each other for last 20 years or so, but never got round to talking to each other. Recently I met him unexpectedly and began to talk to him. Soon I realised he had got recently divorced (for the 2nd time) and also lost his job. Unlike a Capricorn, he was writing depressing messages on social media. So I just told him (in typical triple cardinal Aries fashion :-) ) to stop living in the past and use his contacts to get himself a job. And guess what - he did!
Well, being a triple cardinal and also an Aries, I usually come out quite strong on men and hence, I make a better friend of men than a romantic partner. So I am not forcing him to talk to me. Just watching if he slides in depression again, then I'll pull him up again. Nothing romantic - you don't expect romance from a man who has had a divorce for a second time recently, no matter what his zodiac combination is.
But this experience got me thinking about this combination and I wanted to know about how these two usually gel together and found online mostly descriptions of how mismatched these two are. So I thought I'd write here to see what people think of my view above.

I am an Aries sun... however I am a pisces moon conj. venus. Everyone has there chart... It is never the sun sign but the overall dominate influence. So yes I am an Aries but my Aqua rising and Pisces moon have an affect. If you really wanted answer fallow the transits.

I am in fact surrounded by Capricorn men in my network and in almost all the cases they have made special efforts to make friendship with me. I usually get along very well with them - both men and women and they have helped me a lot in my time of need. Yes I did fall in love with a Capricorn man once, who true to his sign, was running a successful business and had made a fortune. But quite unlike a Capricorn, he also wrote beautiful, sensitive poetry and was an excellent photographer. In fact he seemed to write poetry and do photography most of the time and I wondered how he managed his successful business. I was drawn to him because of his artistic talents. He had two children, but somehow he created the impression that he was single. For six months I was drawn to him and then one day I asked him if he was single. He said he had a wife, so I decided to have him just for a platonic friend. But soon after we had a fight and we decided to stop talking to each other. I feel I have lost a good friend, who was an exceptional individual, but have decided never to talk to him. This was the only time I had a romantic interest in a Capricorn. But as good platonic friends, I have lost of them around me - my Capricorn Moon perhaps?
I didn't mention that I also have my Mars in my Ascendant and Venus in Aries! But despite my aggressive exterior, somehow I always imagine myself as a very soft, delicate feminine woman - Libra Ascendant? Or perhaps this is the true nature of Aries - aggressive on the outside but soft inside?
For some reason, I see most of my Capricorn male friends in the profession of journalism, which means they are very expressive in the public life. This is not regarded as a typical "Capricorn profession." But when you talk to them as a friend i.e., outside the public life, they usually speak in single-word sentences. It works with me because I am the one doing much of the talking most of the time. :-)
You're right on the Aries outbursts - they are notorious for this. I happen to have a terrible temper and because of this I have lost many friends, eventhough I never hold grudges against people unless they've done me great harm. My Capricornian friends just laugh when I am angry and they humour me - they know the best way to calm me down is to humour me and all my anger vanishes and I am the laughing, naive lamb again! :-) You are right about the Capricornian maturity there.
Yes, they do know the ways of the world, which Aries need to learn from them - the reason Aries keep on feeling they are let down by the world and the only way they know to react is to scream in anger is that they often don't understand how the world operates. And Capricorn need to learn a little bit of trusting nature from the Aries. Perhaps a bit of both is necessary for our well being.

He is much younger than me and I am a woman. Also, there may be differences in our upbringing. So obviously, we may be different from each other despite planetary similarities. But I found it interesting that he mentions his patience - an unusual Aries quality. I too am very patient with people. I usually let go. But I don't like to be kept waiting for a meeting. I usually arrive on time or before time and I expect the other person to arrive at least on time, if not before time. Aries and Capricorn both working here? There are more ways in which they take turns to affect my personality. I have a good business planning sense like a Capricorn, but am the worst financial manager in the world like an Aries. I also switch between being very extrovert to being very introvert.
Like someone wrote on that thread - I don't think Capricorn hates life. Almost all the capricorns I know love to have fun. They have a very good sense of humour. Only when their plans are not working, especially in the money or relationship department, they go under the weather. They imagine the worst in such times, even things that are not happening. Then they need the bright sunshine of the Aries. But if the Aries do it too much - which they have a tendency to do, then Capricorn withdraws even further. So Aries needs to learn to give support sparingly and with patience - there we go again. :-)
PS - And while I have a lot of Capricorn men in my network, I usually don't get along with Aries men - we both end up having an angry outburst in a few days' time and we just stop talking to each other. Too much of ego on both sides. I have never been able to talk to an Aries man for more than a few days. Aries women, yes - I do have quite a few Aries women as friends.

I think we are compatible. I've dated a few Aries and they have always been attracted to me for some weird reason .I'm not so attracted to them but once I get to know them There was a connection and I think it's a good match .as a Capricorn i can say 2 major turn offs for the Aries Ive dealt with was arrogance and being obnoxiously argumentive or competitive in public .
our Sun signs are just 1 8th of our charts. when astrologers look at compatibility they look at Venus and Mars and how its conjunctive. many many times men marry the woman who is compatible with their moon sign since moon represents your deepest darkest feelings and usually the mothers impact on the Son. so you may be compatible with your Capricorn because of a compatibility with your Mars and your Venus.. or moon. for instance I'm an air sign with an earth sign and we typically aren't supposed to get along but his Venus is in a fire sign and my Venus is an air sign and his moon is in a fire sign and my sun is an air so there is a large amount of compatibility. but typically air and earth don't get along and typically fire and earth don't get along so well in compatibility - that's why astrologers review entire charts; what planets are in conjunction which planets are opposites what degree he is a Capricorn the degree that you are an Aries if your 1st 2nd etc. so if you know what time you were born go to one of those free birth chart sites and just plug everything in and find out if for instance your moon is in an earth or if Venus is an earth sign because that would explain a lot of things.

But he posts depressing messages on the social media and changes his whatsapp status for all to see! If I wasn't reading his social messages, I wouldn't know about his problems. Then I don't show sympathy for his situation, just show him a job notice that's right for him, tell him to apply and use his contacts. And he does as told. So it works as long as I don't expect him to communicate. I am communicating most of the time, so as long as he listens to me, it's fine by me.

I usually vibe well with Sagittarius and Leo - both men and women. With Leo - despite all the fireworks between us, we innately understand each other and we can always begin talking even after the worst fights.

Mission - My Venus is in Aries, Mars in Ascendant and Mercury in Aquarius.
I usually switch between being an aggressive, extrovert Aries and diplomatic Libra/silent Capricorn. The problem is that many times I switch in the wrong moments. :-)

I have been reading and learning from everyone here for a very long time, but this is my first post.
I just wanted to pen in my observations on this pairing combination.
I feel that regardless of what the books say, Aries and Capricorn are in fact complementary to each other. Each has what the other lacks. Aries has the positive enthusiasm and the excitement to get up after every knock down and try for a hundred times to reach a goal - something what the Capricorn needs when down in depression. Capricorn has the practical sense to manage the realities of life - something the Aries needs to remember in their enthusiasm to lead the world! Capricorn is also a good financial manager for Aries and Aries knows how to ever think of new opportunities when there seem to be none to the Capricorn. Capricorn has the cool demeanour to calm the Aries fire when it gets out of hand and of course, the extrovert, talkative Aries finds an ideal listener in Capricorn! One has the feet planted on the ground, while the other has the capacity to fly to great heights. Both are born leaders. When come together, these two can make an impossible dream come true. They really complete each other in many ways.
I would welcome opinions from everyone here. Maybe I am wrong, but this is the way I feel.

But when they do find common ground, they are complementary, l agree, similar minds and strengths that complement each other.

I don't think this is a match? I don't know many capricorns, just one lady, she is always calm and professional looking, we laugh but I think they are too calm and reliable for Aries, they isn't enough passion there for anything more than friends, slightly bored actually just thinking about it. And I know she's good looking, but it just feels boring, capricorns are like a work colleague (to Aries). Sorry just my opinion, could be wrong, it's good they are stable, it's just Aries don't want to be grounded.

What I feel is that Capricorn provide the stability that Aries lack and when they need it, Capricorn stability is an asset. And Aries provide the imagination and the ability to have fun and fly high when Capricorn are too bogged down with seriousness. But Capricorn can have a good sense of humour if you get to know them and they can be very sensitive. So each has what the other lacks, which is a good mixture for a stable, long-term relationship. Of course Aries needs a lot of patience and Capricorn needs to open up for it to work. I have seen quite adventurous Capricorns - who are jet-setting across the world, because it brings them money. You see, Capricorn is a money making sign and they will do anything that will get them money. Aries will do the same things for fun and just for experiment, though they are very bad at financial management and Capricorn's financial resources can be useful for a broke Aries. So, for a relationship to work long-time, there should be some similarities, but there should also be the differences that fill each other's lacking qualities. This is why I feel these two signs actually fill each other's lacking qualities and hence, they can make a long-term relationship, provided they accept each other's irritating nature, which is a tall order in many cases, as you say. :-)

PS - Though I have also seen quite a few Capricorns who are broke and are lazy and don't want to work. They dream of getting millions of dollars without working. In my typical Arian fashion, I give them a million brilliant ideas about how to make money and what kind of work to do. They usually don't listen to me. I can see how such a partner can be a curse in a romantic relationship. But they usually end up marrying in money and then don't have to worry about working to make money. They get money from their spouses to do business, appoint someone to manage the business and take the profit. I am describing some real life Capricorns here. In such a situation, I think an Aries partner can get frustrated at the Capricorn's inactive life. But such Capricorns are in the minority. They usually work hard and make a fortune.

Yes, the over-enthusiasm of Aries to help a person who seems down and out doesn't go very well with many - I've seen it with Scorpio, Taurus, Leo, Cancer and other Aries. They tend to see this enthusiastic Aries as know-all overbearing person, while the Aries are only trying to be nice and help. Somehow, I have seen the Capricorns take it well, though they too may be cursing them in their minds. :-) Sagittarius perhaps make the best match for Aries as far as the books go, but I had a terrible experience with a Sagittarius.

I met 4 Aries and so much of attractions. One in Tuition centre ( I teach part time), one in LRT (Train station - I help her to avoid getting molested) two in my office ( one is external auditor, and one is from the different project team) in a streak "one after another"

I think that combination might work better. As long as the Aries man is responsible and hard working. Capricorn females are stable and a bit materialistic. They will not tolerate an unpredictable man going no where in life. They are also not the most feminist of females and don't mind making most of the decisions. This combo might work better if the man is a March Aries.

I feel the chances are more of the Capricorn pulling away because they may feel Aries moves too fast for them and is not very practical, especially with money. Capricorn aloofness will tend to keep Aries interested and inquisitive. But as TaurusgirlRas says, loyalty and honesty can keep them going.

Yes I am pulling away from Aries. The fact is I felt Aries do not need anyone and still can be happy. In fact, I realise Aries have the attitude of "If you want you come find me- anytime, if not I am also okay"

I just wanted to pen in my observations on this pairing combination.
I feel that regardless of what the books say, Aries and Capricorn are in fact complementary to each other. Each has what the other lacks. Aries has the positive enthusiasm and the excitement to get up after every knock down and try for a hundred times to reach a goal - something what the Capricorn needs when down in depression. Capricorn has the practical sense to manage the realities of life - something the Aries needs to remember in their enthusiasm to lead the world! Capricorn is also a good financial manager for Aries and Aries knows how to ever think of new opportunities when there seem to be none to the Capricorn. Capricorn has the cool demeanour to calm the Aries fire when it gets out of hand and of course, the extrovert, talkative Aries finds an ideal listener in Capricorn! One has the feet planted on the ground, while the other has the capacity to fly to great heights. Both are born leaders. When come together, these two can make an impossible dream come true. They really complete each other in many ways.
I would welcome opinions from everyone here. Maybe I am wrong, but this is the way I feel.
