I agree with the acting; she surprised me. Then again, musically she kinda blew my mind too. I'm not into her music, either, but what impressed me about her were the duets that she did with Tony Bennett. She really showed just how much of a trained vocalist she really is.

AHS looks like it seriously rebounded from last season. Ryan Murphy is channeling the shit out of the Catherine Deneuve from the movie "The Hunger." It's absolutely nuts how he mirrored Gaga's Elizabeth to look like Deneuve's Miriam. If you want to see for yourself, I've posted a link below...
