Does anybody ever evolve to a respectable astrological level here?

Seems like the website of eternal beginners lol no offense

What level are you on?
I know pretty much all there is to know. I'm done with sun sign astrology and detaching one placement from the all....it's just so old to me.

You sound like you're burned out on it, if so that's totally understandable. I didn't know you had that much experience with it.

I used astrology as a resource to rationalize my behaviors. It's interesting but it hits everyone at their own pace. I trust in any process that forces one to look within and outside themselves. Keep the faith.
Yeah I'm at the stage where I look at the chart as a whole, a sign only matters if it's double or triple, or single but severe, strong aspects, and weird combos etc....
I now realize how important the 4th house is etc....ppl here have a more limited understanding and there's virtually nothing l can do on this site.

Yeah. Well not burned out, but I see a lot more in a chart, and I know what to look for. But I remember asking someone what an aspect was...maybe in 2007 or 2008. It feels like yesterday, so....🙂

I like learning about astrology, but I'm not so driven in my interest in it to completely master it. When something catches my attention that I don't understand I'll go look it up, do a little research/digging so I better understand. What interests me more than astrology is understanding the deeper parts of my soul and original origin, because my astrology can change each lifetime, so it might help me understand some things about myself and others, but it's only part of the puzzle.

I've had one question that pros haven't been able to answer and I've found precious little info about on the net, etc, and that's about the influence or significance of being born during a solar eclipse. It's why I'm cancer sun/moon and rising, but is this the only way that people have the same sun/moon/rising sign, or are there other ways, too? Either people haven't paid attention to this, people aren't talking, or the info was lost long ago.

I'm not an astronomy expert, but I'm guessing that means once a month the moon and sun are at the right position to create that in a chart?.......either that or you're making period jokes.
Lol no, the moon goes through all the signs in a bit less than 30 days, and every time it coincides with the sun, there's a time in that day that the rising will coincide. IDK if they all coincide exactly, but they dont make an eclipse because the moon is on a slightly different angle, but still aligned with the main elliptc 🙂

Ok, that makes sense, although I didn't know the moon goes through all the signs in a month. Good lord, no wonder people tightly tied to the moon have loads of moods! There's a window around an eclipse that allows for same sign sun/moon/rising without the eclipse being completely aligned. I'm not sure how big the window is, but I know I wasn't born right at the height of the solar eclipse I was born on, but still managed the same sign for sun/moon/rising.

Moon stays in a sign for 2.5 days....

There is an average of 2.4 solar eclipses every year, and four types of eclipse, all occurring during the new moon phase of the moon's cycle, when it passes between the Earth and the Sun.

Actually, maybe heavily moon influenced people are just loons, plain and simple. I'm pretty sure my moods fluctuate enough in a single day so that it has less to do with the sign the moon is in.

I keep loose tabs on the eclipses because I enjoy photographing them when they're in my area. 🙂

bricklemark- I have grown to like this sight because it shows as above so below... Who is getting hit with what... and there chart. I really don't care as much these days one comments from people unless I just really like the questions.

It is also not how long you study something but how you understand it. You can still be bad at astro and studied all your life. I am not saying you are bad or good but also who is to judge and how... is another good question.

Do you have heavy aspects to your moon?
My moon is square uranus, and conjunct mercury and venus.
Oh that's huge....huge fluctuations with the square Uranus...my god...
Uranus is Libra in the 4th house for me. It's a constant struggle between emotions and logic.

Yeah gee, angular houses, of course cause moon =rising...and 4th house big angular house. Uranus 4th is atypical personality, black sheep of family, needs to move because success will never be found at home. Possibly moves a lot. Square your main personality, and emotions, and social life... that sucks....

Yep, the homebody that likes to occasionally roam, the love of adventure so long as I can drag my people around with me. I'm not sure if it sucks since I'm used to it, but it makes for some interesting moments of indecision.
