After you have been heart in the past how can someone gain your trust and would you prefer to start out with a really strong friendship? do you give lots of mixed msgs when you like someone but are scared?

So cut a long story short my ex messed up and said he felt too guilty about everything and split with me. i know this guy loves me deeply.
