It's sort of inevitable. Death is a part of life. And your grandparents are up in the years, so instead of crying about it, how about you instead cherish the time you have left?
Oh, I didn't see it as a negative at all...it just threw me that she would write that in a little thank you note - not the part where they're proud of me and love me - the part where she randomly mentions she's preparing a journal to LEAVE BEHIND so it doesn't go to the dump

Could also be her way of sharing her "project" or what she is working on at this time in her life. Letting you know what she is up to in her free time.
Like "oh I started scrapbooking" or "oh I just took up a knitting class" type deal

I wouldn't stress over it. They're at an age where they realize what could happen soon and want to make sure everything is in order. Their friends are getting old and/or passing away and it just becomes something they're very aware of and start preparing for because who the hell knows when at that age?

My only grandma alive is 102 and she is capricorn, the most poweful woman i know, i admire her very much.
She teaches without doing almost nothing, i remember her slaping sort of kindly my face, saying you naughty boy, not that i am but for her men generally are, and its a reminder that i am good afterall, i am gradson of my spetacular grandma.

I'm posting this here because my grandparents are both Caps
I went to see them last weekend and took them for lunch for grandparents day so she sent me a little thank you note (she still sends me letters and cards snail mail cause "she doesn't text" she says)
In the note she goes on to say "as you can see, me and grandpa are getting old , but we're not doing too bad for 78 and 83. I've started compiling a journal with photographs because I know what happens when boxes are left behind- they go to the dump because no one knows who they are." ?
Then finishes with "we are so proud of you and feel God truly blessed us with you. We hope you know you are loved more than words can ever express"
So I cried. Is she preparing me— I don't know how to take this .

and all the hard things that go along with it-- esp for family.
