I decided yesterday, out of the blue, to measure an area underneath my window, and go to home depot to buy wood and have it cut to those measurements.

Thaf was the easy part. I want to build a little plant stand for my houseplants, thing is...I know anything about building anything. Didnt know the size of nails needed, the fact that I need a drill...nothing.

Biggest turnoff...a lot of the men that work in home depot didnt know either smh. I realized a few yrs ago Im attracted to a guy thats good with his hands.

Anyway, I hate that I kind of "wing it" when it comes to projects. I have an idea, start it, and learn as I go. My Cappie grandmother would not approve...she is the opposite..thoroughly prepared before anything. Im allergic to that way of doing things.

Dec 23rd thing? Or perhaps sag/cap cusp? 😛

I learned a long time ago that I could spend hrs planning ahead only to find I should've prepared a sense of flexibility.

Try youtube? A lot of decent DIY vids on youtube.

Look up some "how to's" on the internet. Some of the sites make stuff look really simple.

I think it might be a Dec 23rd, or Sag/Cap cusp thing lol. All of my plans go left...every single one them. I even made a thread about it a long time ago. Anyway's all I do these days is wing it smh.

Alot of good stuff is on youtube. I watched a video last night and saw more of what I'll need. I'm such a darn perfectionist though. *sigh* It's a simple project, but I do want to get into building my own things. I want to try a headboard if this goes okay.

excited for tonight's men's league b-ball game between our team and the other undefeated team in the league. as the point guard..i have to go talk to the refs beforehand..make sure the right ppl get the ball..sacrifice my scoring..handle the ball..make split second decisions while 9 other players are running at different speeds and at different angles..limit turnovers..shoot when i'm open..drive when we need a bucket..guard the other team's best scorer..gauge the flow of the game..delay, foul, or call timeouts when the other team is getting in rhythm..talk to and make sure everyone's playing within themselves..make adjustments..and be gracious win or lose so Lord Saturn doesn't make me sprain my ankle next game. piece of cake.🙂

awe yea??_ you got this 🙂

I spent today with the leo since on Valentine's Day he'll have his kids. Speaking of his kids, I seem to have gotten a negative view of them/his parenting for some reason and I can't shake it. For instance, his 5 year old is still having potty training issues and his three year old still uses diapers 24/7 at his place. I just feel really negative about the whole situation after that. His kids also are heavily dependent on video games as entertainment and I have a feeling they'll grow up with terrible social skills. I feel like soon I'm going to start telling him how to raise his kids and I don't want to do that. Not to mention I would probably do it in a way that blames him. I wonder why I feel this way? Perhaps a part of me is jealous or angry that they take up his whole weekend. Perhaps they really are growing up unhealthily. Perhaps it's simply that I don't like kids in general and it's causing me anger.

Sometimes it's a bad thing to know what your issues are because you can't always change them and then you feel like a terrible person for acting or thinking a certain way.

Divorce is really hard on kids (assumming he is divorced). Perhaps they are regressing? They may not have any understanding of what happened and this could be their coping mechanism. —

It may not necessarily be his parenting alone. They have a mother, too.

They've been separated (not divorced, but I'm not sure correcting that matters)for 2 or 3 years now so I don't think that's the issue given the children's ages.

And yes, different households, different rules. They both do things I consider wrong when it comes to parenting. I'm just very critical, I guess.

we made homemade sushi. took a gazillion hours of prep time before we could even begin rolling sushi.

the sushi rice was an involved process

lnana??_ i actually DID plan out the rolls ahead of time. 😛 some things i'll wing it, but I'm squeamish about sushi so i didn't want to go through all that preparation and end up with a bunch of food that made me wanna gag.

it turned out SOOOOO good!!! i mean??_ damn. i was really proud of us. right before we started rolling sushi, i'd said "i dunno if i ever wanna do this again. it takes too much prep work" lol but after a few bites, i'm ready to do it again and invite people for japanese cuisine night.

Spent the weekend snowboarding with friends.

My bf's brother (capricorn) and his gf (pisces) were with us. Pisces n I got along famously. I really like her and can see us being good friends. At any rate, it was fun watching them together. They're really in love and fun in a social setting. Cap-Pisces match is becoming one of my faves.

His brother is such a TALKER! Wow!! Kinda wonder where his mercury is cuz jeez-o-petes. Non-stop talking capricorn.

People who are always singing just get on my last nerve. When I'm trying to work and they break my concentration. Standing in line at the store they sing and sing. Irritating. Okay, so they're happy people, but no one wants to hear it. They can't even sing good, but they think they can. Why ruin a good song like that?

Sorry, vent over.

Well, there are four people in one room in the office. We have to read complicated documents and apply what we're reading into another format, so it takes a lot of concentration. I prefer quiet. Everyone else listens to headphones, then there are two who will randomly start singing along. I just want to take those headphones and wrap them around their necks.

Then in the cafeteria the cashier is singing along and not paying attention to the customers in line.

And someone in the elevator singing to whatever tune is in their head - trapped, can't walk away.

And NONE of them can sing worth a crap.

hahahaha i knooooow, i'm teasin'. the lady that sits next to me hums REALLY LOUD and it's soooooo off key. i mean i'd join in if she wasn't so horrible at it lmao

OMG!! I thought you were serious!!! lol!!

Of course, in the right mood, if I knew the song, I'd join in and sing along either for fun or to prove a point.

One time I sent one an e-mail and told her I was enjoying the free concert. Even complemented her. She stopped and was embarrassed. Didn't do it again for at least a month.

Does decaf coffee do anything for you?

I like the caffiene. Never saw the point in decaf.

Hrmmm??_ never really tried for the same reason. I do like the taste of coffee, but I only ever drink it for the energy boost. If there isn't a specific purpose to a drink, something I'm trying to get out of it, then I'll always opt for water. Flavor isn't reason enough for me. It's like useless calories, in my eyes.

Had an argument with the capi recently with me venting as couldn't keep it in any longer. Felt like he'd been ignoring me n lying about doing things he said he would. In the end I told him to shove it n tell it to someone who cares...

Everyone has work but when you don't make time for your loved ones communication issues occur and they hear the same thing over and over how work is busy something has to give. It's usually the relationship.

However I do have deep feelings for him n it's more about how we don't communicate. I asked him how I could make him understand and try things my way. This got his attention n he said not to argue or bring up things from the past n then he will try things my way. We had a long talk n he will try things my way - yay!!
Now he wants a reward lol without having actually done what he said he would- is that a capi trait or a venus in aqua trait

I have to plug my two favorite Cappies on youtube. I live vicariously through these girls, and I'm so proud of them, especially since I went to school with one, and the other share my birthdate lol.

My old classmate.

Yesterday a kid on the school bus called my 5yr old niece the "B" word. Wow is all I can say.

Of course my sister tried to go on the bus this morning. She wasnt allowed, so she spoke to the kids from the sidewalk. She told them to leave my niece alone and if anything else happened she will be knocking on their doors and speaking to their parents. This is the 3rd incident shes had to confront. Really the 4rth since my niece said the gym teacher kissed her on the forehead. I forgot, she also had to tell the boys on the bus to stop writing and giving my niece things.

So much you have to deal with as a parent it seems. I wonder if i had my own would i be as confrontational or tell my child to just ignore it all. Seems like too much.

Sometimes kids need to learn to solve their own problems. Granted the girl is young, but your sister shouldn't step in every single time. The girl needs to learn how to speak up for herself. Maybe give her some words to use next time and if that doesn't work, then teach her to kick people in the shins?

Your sister's a virgo, right? I know a lot of virgo moms always running up to the school to "address" issues on behalf of their kids. Seems like they make it a whole lot more dramatic than it has to be.
