i checked. lots of fire trining everywhere. ๐Ÿ˜›

jesus christ man. It was like snuggly buggly and snoogum buggles lovey dovey pie feeling!! i mean with extra extra OOOMPH.

Heh, noticed I was quite cuddly as well. ๐Ÿ˜›

Had to restrain myself when writing a message to the Cancer girl that I've been dating for a while now. She seems to be quite understanding though. Just an "Oh wait, I just read your wall of text."
A bit mom-like at times. ๐Ÿ˜†

i gotta calm down on the projects that i'm taking up.

last one though... hypertufa planters.
ex..

i've all the materials and start today. it'll work really well with all the large rocks covered with moss and lichen around here. gonna do before and after pics of the gardening work. probably will take progress pics. if i get pretty good with the hypertufa, i want to try to make a japanese garden lantern. lofty goal for a newbcake, but that's how i do it.

is this a photo of your gardening work??

Decided on a whim to bring my Cancer girl home when everyone, including parents and sister, were around.
Note, we've been seeing each other since... IDK February but we messed around for a bit this summer before she went abroad for half a year.

Went better than expected. ๐Ÿ˜„

What you're dating a cRAB? Hmmmm interesting. Dont' bore her.

today we had easter lunch at a cafe and easter dinner at family's.

but at the lunch cafe/restaurant, there were these photos everywhere on the wall that looked, well, "BURLESQUE"

it was fascinating to say the least. We went in there, a bunch of us, because the other restaurants were FILLED, and most of them had already closed up for lunch menus. We wanted lunch, not dinner menu. Because we were already planning dinner at family member's.

then these nude photos of women were really artistically done. I thought, wow, that's so.....interesting. Was this place once a Bordello?? ๐Ÿ˜„

these are the photos:

was so tired, and still need to recharge. i couldn't even go to the fitness today, we'll try again this week when i'm rested up and not ill.

you know what's hilarious?

my husband tells me, honey, when someone calls and has an Indian accent, wanting information for your microsoft computer and tells you they will help fix it for you, just HANG UP.

i'm like why? what's up with these people w/ accents asking about computers?

him: they want your bank account, so they can swindle people's money by pretending they are part of Microsoft.

me: WTF? seriously? don't these people have any shameโ€”

him: โ€” honey, criminals have no shame.

me: DO you think they succeed out there with some people giving away their accounts?

him: well, they wouldn't keep doing it....so someone out there.

me: that's so sad. What if it's a sweet little old lady who doesn't know computers?? People out there are very bad. They really have no conscience!!

i feel f*ckin filthy. i don't think it has anything to do with the fact that i'm covered in a residue of wood, plastic, sand and dirt.
i think it's because of the small slice of lamb i tried on Sunday. 8+ weeks of vegetarianism made me feel really clean.

regardless... hittin that shower and hittin it hard.

after thought... it's interesting how little labor intensive work i've done in the last several years, and now all i want to do is work with my hands... ending my days a filthy mess. i used to keep my nails nice, clean and manicured. now... PAH!

here's something cute that'll make peeps smile hopefully

So this little bird (no idea if it's male or female tbh) is a mountain chickadee and one of our regular feeder visitors. He has a broken leg. I'm not sure what's wrong with it but he favors it quite a bit. He can use it on occasion, but generally doesn't and the poor lil bugger's landings seem rough. Strong flyer though so that's good. He just can't do the same acrobatics and foraging that his feathered friends can do. Mountain chickadee are very lively and spritely. They use their legs and feet extensively to forage, but lil bud can't do any of this and can barely forage because of his leg. *cry face* So I don't doubt the feeders we've had out the last several months are what carried him through the winter.

He used to be really shy. The mountain birds where we are are generally curious about us and fly up to us while we're outside hanging out. I mean... they'll fly right onto me sometimes. But this little guy has always been pretty skittish. Probably due to his injury. He knows he's more vulnerable.

I'm not sure how I managed it... I honestly don't know how he became acclimated to me. The bird feeder is next to my office window and my desk is right next to the window, so I'm always looking outside and watching. All the birds are usually roosting in a tree nearby, watching while I'm filling the feeders, but just yesterday he let me feed a mealworm to him out of my hand. He let me walk right up to him. I was on my way to throw some in a feeder and he was perched there, eyeballing me. It's really interesting. And now he perches right outside my workroom window and waits for me to walk by and bring him a snack. It's the cutest. I could almost cry it's so cute.

For anyone concerned about the domestication of a wild animal... these birds are forever wild. As nice and animal friendly as I am, and for as comfortable as this little injured bird is with me, there's no way I could ever take away thousands of years of their wild instinct and vigilance to safeguard themselves.

i dont think i could ever go pure vegetarism. i love fish, seafood, ect too much. but i can live without meat for sure. I dont like certain meats anyway.

it is really annoying when people ask me WHY i don't and won't eat pig, lamb, rabbit, deer, ect, and yet when there is a pure vegetaran around, they don't and won't bother them. I guess cause i have to be ALL in to be a veggie. I mean geeez. i just don't like to eat that. maybe i just might go pure veggie.

lol, are you joking? its not domesticated. that was my entire point in that last paragraph. I and thousands of other people who provide bird feeders and baths for wild birds are not domesticating or making wild birds suffer. i'm not out setting traps and force-feeding birds against their will lol. a lack of common sense would be doing what i wanted with a wild animal, or even talking about it, without having researched first if it's actually healthy or unhealthy for them. but i'm not as selfish or absent minded as you're thinking i am. i've read at least a dozen studies and at least a few dozen articles more on wild birds, their foraging and survival habits and the extent to which people can help them... safely for the birds, my roommates and myself, and particularly the species in my area. i care a lot about my feathered neighbors and have taken the time to figure out the healthiest way to be their friend. or at least the one they free load off of.

and i love seafood too. eventually i'll alter my diet to include certain meat, but i'll be doing the vegetarian thing for a while. i'm getting too much out of it.

i agree about the questioning of diet. i was thinking about that just the other day because i plan on changing mine again. unless you subscribe to a well known label and fit it's boundaries, you'll be prodded for being different. i don't suppose there's a label for wild caught meat is there?

i have taken some online courses, so i need to study. lol I did some yesterday then got on dxp and it was over. lol

I'll do some later today. ๐Ÿ™‚

how's the weather over where you all are at? Over here it's beautiful!! Sunny and gorgeous. However it's still very cold. I don't think it ever gets really warm until June. And some days in May, definitely.

I'm the queen of procrastination - why do today what you can put off until tomorrow?

How did the presentation go SW?

lisabeth, my area has been seeing 70s lately, had a bitter cold winter so it's a nice change.

well i did some work today.

and that sounds wonderful (the 70s temperature)

it's around 10-12 degrees Celcius. so about 50s f. That's cold when the wind blows. lol especially when you're on a bike OR not at all cause it's windy as hell.

My son's senior class voted him Most Likely to Become President. I think that's pretty dern cool. It's so fitting for him. He's been interested in politics since he was about nine years old.

Awesome, congrats!
Hopefully he'll be better at budgeting than most presidents if he actually goes for it!

been waiting to present a very important project for three months.

today, I was finally given the date and time.

scheduled the gotomeeting, the conference room and sent out invites.

then was told to move it to Monday.....and half my team isn't available Monday. I may have to do it by myself. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ It's not like I can tell the owner "No."

this will be the death of me. ๐Ÿ˜

Good thing you can regenerate after dying then!
Good luck!

I'm so disappointed in my Cap friend. He needed to borrow money, and my mother let him borrow it with no questions asked. She even gave him more than he initially said he needed.

Today he paid her back. She needed a favor done, since her car is broken. She wanted him to get a layaway out and he paused when I asked him, then came up with a story that he's about to take his mom out to eat, then he just called saying he has to pick up his son. In a nutshell, he can't do it.

In my mind I want to ignore him for at-least a good two months. She's like whatever, but I'm just really upset and disappointed. This isn't the first time she's helped him when he needed something.

the weather is fantastic but it's still so cold.

we went to a yoga dance earlier (because my husband's cousin is in it) lol

but it was short, then later we're going to go work out (biking) since the weather is Sunny, but we still have to wear coats and scarves. (it's like a cold Saturday!!!)

we're also in the process of finishing up the Netflix feature of "Breaking bad"

my MIL and his best friends finished it last year, but we're slow.

my sisters are also doing soooooo good/great in their life. Besides the health thing (which we all have trouble) my Sag sis went into the hospital earlier this year, and she's getting surgery.

But she's doing great with her virgo man. They are planning a sabbatical this year and her Virgo man is also doing the sabbatical thing with her. They're planning something exciting!!!

and my Aries sister and her libra husband are doing great too!! i'm so happy for them. I Always feel so happy when my family members are so happy in ther lives.
