Your personal style

How would you best describe your personal fashion style ? Who is your influence when it comes to fashion? How much of your own personal back ground and culture influences your style ?

Being a proud Midwestern girl 🙂 I tend to stick with worn out jeans (I like em with holes and rips). I usually pair them with boho or peasent style tops or "worn" fitted tees. I also like the nature girl hippy chic style s minus the long flowy skirts.
But if I really dress up for a night in the city I like the sophisticated sleek (usually black) subtley revealing tops. There is no need for me to flash around boobs or anything. I find the most sensual parts on a woman is her neck, back, shoulders and collarbone. I think it's painfully obvious when girls go out with cleavage on display or a REALLY short skirt. That's just my thinking though.
What about you guys?

i wear dresses and skirts and headbands every single day. Lately im into scarves with the little pompoms at the end (tassels are out!) and dangly earrings. love metallic sandals. too

i also love dressing up for work the best though. nobody does style on a budget like Ann 😄

i guess if i had to define my style , the key words would be simple, elegant, & feminine. i'm always drawn to really classic pieces and i like to create a seamless, flowy silhouette.

style resembles that of Rachel Bilson, The OC

I like distressed looking things..leather, boots, jeans etc..

Night out, has to be a classy dress (depending on type of club)..no showing unncessary flesh..I am of the opinion, one has to leave things to the imagination..far more sexy..anything which exudes class..not trash!

Love accessorizing..bangles, earrings etc..

MM... again we are the same 😉 I love the distressed look. I take it too far sometimes though. One night on the town I paired a black slinky backless top with a pair of ripped up distressed jeans, heels and my fav earings (danglies as I call them ) and a black drooped chain necklace. I got alot of compliments on the outfit but I felt a little out of place with my distressed jeans in a club. LOL
I LOVE my (faux of course) fitted leather jackets. I feel so badass when I wear them. hehehe Besides the black against my red hair is very contrasting. That's why I love black so much.

Aww...yeah to be honest..it took me ages to get into a dress..I am such a tomboy...give me a pair of tight jeans, that I will put a few rips in, frayed at the knees or something and green t-shirts..and then I'll wear like a real lady like hat on top..just quirky..

My friend literally attacked my wardrobe and got rid of most things black!...I LOVE black!

How would you best describe your personal fashion style ?

stylish, comfortable....Give me my jeans (distressed as MM stated), tank tops, shirts, mini skirts/dresses that shows off my assets, flip flops, stlilettos, kick arse boots and my cowbone bangles, my gemstones rings that i sport/my headscarfs that i rock.... and a pair of kick ass sunglasses an im all dame good. My style is simple but chic and classy.



Who is your influence when it comes to fashion?...Me..myself and I, i create my own style and flare, when im feeling a need to change up, i will do it as quick as lightening strikes....


MM...we are to much alike gf. I bought my bracelets in new orleans and i get compliments everywhere i go with them, i have about ten of them on one arm..the color is bone and a dark brown, just amazing i say!! I like unique looking items, such as my rings (carnelian,onyx,malachite,tiger eyes, hematite)

Fact is my dad is a *ahem* biker type. Yeah.... he rides in a "MC" or motercycle club. I'm not going to say which one 😛 So I guess I got a little influence from him when it comes to some of my look. I use to ride with him sometimes but we really don't speak now. 😢 On the road I'd have to wear the leather or you get wind burnt. Theres something to be said about riding on the back of a bike with your "gear". It's really bad ass feeling. So occasionally I wear that type of stuff out. Here in KanSAS it's pretty well accepted without looking like a wannabe 😛 My dad would probably kick someones ass for calling me a wannabe biker chick anyway 😛 joking.............sorta

*high five* gingersnaps....im just like your dad, except im a "Biker Biatch" all thee way baby, i love to ride!! I plan on getting my license if not this year definitely next year, because i want my own bike. My aquarius friend/companion, soon to be boyrfriend.... we ride all day and night. Riding on a motorcycle gives you such a freedom, its unexplainable unless u ride on one. Im working on getting boots /jacket and some more riding gear...and getting me some more tats = motorocycle and some long pipes climbing through the crack of my ass..saying (Loud Pipes Saves Lives) im still working on the design!!! Nothing like the sound of loud pipes!!! *golden*

The Harley Davidson store has some "sweet" looking black high heel boots as well, but they are kinda pricey, im hoping to catch them on sale.

Let me ask you this ginger, would you like to ride your own bike...ripping down the roadway, shifting gears and that red hair flowing through thee air? The both of us are red heads..😉 does your boyfriend like motorcycles?

i don't have a bike myself. I never got hard core into that thing. I kinda grew up around that life style and the not so desirable parts of it. Dad and I don't have a very good or stable relationship. He really got sucked into the club hardcore.
It kinda put a damper on my dating life when I was a teen too. Imagine the horror of a young man picking me up and there stands my biker dad. LOL Must have been a little intimidating. LOL Then again sometimes it was kinda cool. I got one of my senior pics taken with my dad's custom Fat Boy. that was cool.
My guy and bikes... nah he prefers to spend his money on guns. That's his thing being a paratrooper and all 😛

I do love to ride though. Nothing like it in the world. The freedom... the wind in your hair.... the feeling of being the most super badass on the road... the bugs. LOL

The harley stores are really pricey. Dad sends stuff from all over the country to me though. Nothing but Harley gear. American made 🙂

Yeh biker dad look so freaking intimidating, the boys will be like ummm is that your dad looking out of the window (run for your life son)i guess its good in a way to be a biker and have thee legend of all bikers are badd asses, scares the living shit out of most people..hahah!!....To bad about you and your dad...maybe in time or..... maybe not you can have a close father and daughter relationship again.

Funny you mention shooting lovage. We went out this weekend with some friends and did some shooting. Fun times but I'm so sore from some of those monster guns Aries has. Here I am thinking that I'm big enough to handle them and they kick so darn hard! My shoulder is bruised up. lol
Oh well it was fun.

Yeah my dad and I have to work on alot of things when it comes to our relationship. We're getting there but there's alot of bad blood there so to speak. He tries. I'm pretty hard on him. 😢

I concur..the harley store is very overpriced...overpriced....overpriced. But on the flip side, my aquarius man will purchase some more items for me..🙂but i dont have as much as you do....well at least not yet..😉

I'm not sure what kind they are lovage. I know I shot an AK47 because they made a big deal out of it. But mostly I just call them funny names like the big gun with the big scope and such. 😛

My dad and I rarely speak due to his MC life style and getting into the women. yeah.... he had a gf while still married to my mom and he was paying for her rent and taking finacial care of her kids. Of course my mom didn't know it and when she found out..... wow. She's a Scorp so it was really bad. I was so pissed at my dad for hurting her like that. I took it pretty hard too since I was always Daddy's little girl. I felt so betrayed that he lied to us. It was a very very messy divorce. It was so ugly. My mom damn near went looney and I had to care for my bro and sis by myself at 18. I was barely making it myself and then I get two kids to take care of. My dad went nuts too reliving his youth and refused to give me money to help with my siblings. It was really hard 😢

He's aplogized ALOT since but it's hard to forgive him. My siblings and I went through so much hurt while he was out partying and playing house with a much younger woman and taking care of HER kids but not us.

I want to be close to my Dad again because he was what I looked up to the most growing up. He was always my hero. Then he crushed all that in one hurtful swoop.

I see why Dad wants to live it up. He and my mother had me when they were 16 and still in high school. Dad took responsiblity for me by working nights and going to school days. But he could have went about the whole thing with more grace and tact.

I think him sending me stuff is his way of a peace offering but it gonna take more then that.

wow ginger, now i see why you feel the way that you do. But i think somewhere in the near future he will try and regain your love and trust again...and not with gifts.... with his fatherly love that he carries for you. Im pretty sure he regrets what he has done and would like to make it better in due time, probably will be when he is much much older and wants to get that pain off of his chest.

it would be nice if he would sit down with you and discuss what he did...and what made him do it. until then he will be fighting with his own internal battles.

my personal style is bi.polar. it all depends on my moods. some days i'm dressed in sweat pants and converse. other days i've got designer shoes and frilly skirts. the next day i can be a tomboy, then a 90's grunge chic. next week i might wear leopard print pants with a black & white striped shirt. the following week i've got a 70's floral theme going. lol i've never cared what ppl thought of me. fashion is art. its free, and endless. if you are confident enough i think that holds up more than what brand you wear and how much it cost. fav designer of mine would have to be betsey johnson although her prices are too high.... :/

Diddylibra... my guy has the same style . He loves the Affliction stuff but only because of the skulls and grim reapers. He sticks with the distressed jeans too.
I have a hard time talking him out of his combat boots. He loves those things.

My style is as changing as the season, like last year I was really into the whole boho style , consistently I love the laid back torn jeans faded T look, I will always have that in my closet. But this year I've into the whole edgy city look, with and hint of 80's theme to it. Like the crochet beanies, leggings, ankle booties kind of look.

Oh yeah and off the shoulder crop tops are cute.

during the day time, when kicking back at home, which is almost everyy singlle dayyy when waiting for classes to start, I dress like.. whatever, like the shirt from the day before I find it of the floor and it doesn't stink I'll wear it with pj pants or something. And if I need to stop out of the house I switch to jeans. My family says I look like a middle schooler half the time.
But when I do go out it depends on my mood. All my clothes are proper and show nothing more then what needs to be shown, like part of my chest and arms, so never have to worry about what not to wear. I love skirts and dresses but don't have enough of them.
When I'm really going out, and it's an accassion that doesn't requir a dress, though I rather wear dresses but I don't have many fun going out dresses, I'd just wear jeans with heels and a classy top. Allot of white tops lol I have one with this beautiful lace back!

I can't really describe my style . It's pretty random but I guess I usually dress for the occassion, weather, environment, situation, company, etc. I guess my style is adaptable but stands out. I like to show a lot of contrast; black, white, greys mixed w/ something less muted. Usually go for

-asymmetrical, yet symmetrical
-layers
