Duality

All honesty put on the table. Do you gems see that you have double personalities?
I have always wondered how Geminis see themselves on this topic.
And yes each sign talks smack about each other. This is not my intention.

no. I'm not schizophrenic or confused. I merely have the ability to see both sides of the story and find it very easy to put myself in someone else's shoes. It's being able to relate and the gift of fair advocating for either side that makes Gems unique.

I lived with my roommate who was a friend and a gem. Girl had later it was abundantly clear the typical double face back stabbing quality. But the chick was totally screwed up. My very good Gem friends are nothing like the book, aside from the fact that they are party beasts and always fun.

^^^ I'll co-sign. I'm a Gemini rising as well and I find this to be very true of me. It nice to be able to see and debate all different points of view without ever really letting on your OWN personal belief. 😛 It can be difficult at times though because others think I'm PURPOSLY trying to mislead them or avoid the question/topic when if fact I'm simply following YOUR logic or POV and going from there; almost as if I'm challenging you to see if you actually believe your own logic and POV. Besides, if you didn't ask a specific question, then how can you expect a specific answer?

I have a new take on this.
We are not as wishy washy as everybody else, and so in turn we can be either one side or the other, but never the middle, mediocre, indecisive (once our mind is made up), and can still adapt to all circumstances.
The lack of others' flexibility and being stuck in one way or another doesn't allow for their smooth adaptability.
We adapt without loosing our own integrity. If someone doesn't like it - well, who gives a F*** about it? Not like we do anything out of spite or knowingly hurting someone.

Dual personality does not mean "schizophrenic or confused" and this was not what I was implying. Having said that its good that you are able to put yourself in someone else's shoes. Many people can not do this. Makes for a stronger and grounded person.

Personally I can recognise two distinct aspects to my character. One side of me is that party beast, cocktail drinking, first on the dance floor, flirty Gertie.... the other is emotional and vulnerable and not a lot of people get to see that.

I'm the least back-stabbing person I know, however. If I don't like you, you'll know it by my cold behaviour towards you, and I never bitch because I just say what I think to people's faces.

I'm fairly good with talking my way around situations and people, and talking my way out of trouble - I guess that means I'm adaptable 😛

My ex husband was Gem. He had constantly changing attitudes and thoughts on things. Would say one thing, do another. Always changing plans, his mind, etc. Drove me nuts!!!!!

Boy oh boy...duality is definately a part of my character. It isnt always fun and games though. I sometimes get overwhelmed which is probably why we are sometimes labeled as moody. I will add that it isnt in my control. I literally step outside of my realm like looking in from the outside at any given situation. I always find myself understanding how someome does this or why he or she reacted that way. It really is simple to do until you find yourself in the middle getting asked for an opinion or to choose a side. This is where we end up seeming so two-faced. Really, we just want everyone to get along and agree to disagree and move on. That is pretty much the bottom line to us Geminis. Not so complex as everyone might think.

I will also add because of my dual nature/personality, take your pick, people tend to believe I am not genuine. I will meet a person, they will meet part of my personality, get to know that one side and everything is great. A month or so down the road, they will meet the other half and feel I've misled them or been dishonest about who I am. One part of me loves to dance, make people smile, brighten their day and enjoy myself. The other side is more vulnerable, a little insecure, sensitve and way too emotional!! No, thats the biggest misconception there is concerning Gemini's. what you see is this we can be sweet as wine but when you have pissed us off, thats it,we will tell you what we really think of you and believe me you don't want to know. We see things in people that most don't, we dont tell you cus we dont want to hurt anyone. If the day comes that we do, its because we couldn't care less wether you stay or go. Means you've done something really bad!

Wine can be tart as well....

It IS pretty funny. It's also hard to have this inside. I wonder, though: if I wasn't like that, would I bore myself?
