The Lion's Memory

I've noticed that Leos have pretty sharp memories. That's not to say that a sharp memory is sign specific, but I've noticed that Leos will can be talented storytellers. This ability seems to click when we're passionate or emotional about something. So while we may not remember everything, it appears we retain some of the emotional memory recall of Cancer and the encyclopedic recall of Virgo.

For example, my Leo dad is like a walking encyclopedia when it comes to historical events. I have another Leo friend who is similar and also remember small details extremely well. I'm often chosen as the storyteller/joke teller in my friend group given how I recall events.

Have you noticed this too? What are your thoughts?

Yes if I'm passionately interested in a topic the facts or details around it will stick to my mind like bugs on a windshield...

this applies to people that capture my interest too.

Terrible short term memory tho - overall I think it's more my Virgo Mercury that soaks it all up like a sponge.

I don't know about other Leo's but I'll often play ditzy and dumb, withhold my memory of certain situations - things I've learned to be true etc to see how other people frame events or recall interactions -this weeds out the liars

Yes, in confrontations they know exactly where they are at any given time...their memory is just impeccable, they have all the elements to argue intelligently, and with structure. They always know which card to play.

I always get asked how I can remember so much from the past and can recall it so quickly. It simply comes down to either being something I am passionate about or the other person has been really important to me. Particularly with certain people, even if it just a mundane kind of day with a person, I’ll still be able to recall it with ease.



Even though overtime the memories don’t always remain as happy as they once were, it is something I wouldn’t change about me.

Yeah I think I've mentioned before that Leos will play dumb while quietly observing. I do this to get the measure of people. If people think they aren't being observed, they're more like to be genuine.

So I have...

Ascendant Cancer

Sun Leo

Moon Cancer

Mercury Virgo

Venus Virgo

It's all Cancer/Virgo with a Leo Sun.

I can be cold and calculating, and I can remember details whether I intend to or I don't. I remember random things that don't matter, like an acquaintance's birthday or a random girl's boyfriend's name.

But I also remember that really matter, although... I can also forget things that really matter. It's very strange. I think I like to forget about things that are painful to remember, and depending on what those memories are, I do end up forgetting details of those events or I don't.

But I am extremely observant, analytical, critical, most of the time to the extent that I start overthinking and getting emotionally charged instead of just seeing things as they are.

I lost my train of thought, but will leave this here.

Interesting, one of the odd things I remember are people's dietary restrictions and food preferences.

Agree. My Leo has amazing memory. My memory is a gold fish memory but his is great.🙂
