I don't get how this works. Someone pisses you off or insults you in a thread. Do you then send them a message for what...to warn them? to threaten them?Is it in your power to cut their internet connection for ever? What exactly are you accomplishing?

I wrote her to ask her to stay off my post if she's not going try and get her point across like she has some damn sense. At the time i could careless how it looked or sound. I didn't want drama, so i wrote her privately telling her she was too damn old to be calling names and that i didn't do shit to her. Anyway, i've seen you post before and i honestly i'm certain you would'nt understand. I did what i wanted and how i felt at the time and thats the end of it. period.
Why would you ask someone to stay off your posts or thread? She's allowed to contribute. Block and that's it.
She is allowed to contribute, but I have a right to ask her to respect MY POST. I dont know what the hell else yall want me to say, lol. I flipped, i had a moment and went off, so what? Who died from it? lol

I agree that people can (and do) post incredibly hurtful or cruel comments intended to wound or ridicule others. And yes, if you keep yourself open to this, it will hurt you.
The key is keeping in mind that it's just a message board. Nobody needs acceptance or validation from a message board to be happy and successful in their lives.
If you can do a quick count to ten when you encounter a "bad" post or other confrontation, you should have the self-control to move on without continuing the hostilities. Not everything in life is worth the stress and energy related to anger. It's up to individuals to decide if hard words on a message board are worth it
Me personally, I have better things to do with my time and life energy than entertain people who aren't evolved enough to comprehend that being anonymous meanies on a computer screen is wrong. There are other more important and/or pleasurable things I can do with those resources.
