To be honest, I've always been a little skeptical of the Twin Flame concept. While it does answer some questions it only creates more. For me, it doesn't make spiritual sense. I won't write them off yet though.
But what really bothers me,, whether they exist or not, is that they're "consumed" just like love is. A product that's bottled and sold. I will admit...it angers me. What I see, just like with soul mates, is that Twin Flames are used to justify doing wrong shit to another person. "I cheated on my husband/wife because my Twin Flame came into my life and we had this connection." It's the notion that anything spiritual is first and foremost about sex and romance...fulfilling some fantasy. Yes, our main purpose here is to grow our souls through perfecting our understanding and ability to love, but romantic relationships is not the first or main purpose spiritual connections exist.
I don't know yet if Twin Flames exist...I doubt it ans maybe because I lack understanding. I do know that people will use any excuse to not develop their souls and their character and the Twin Flame concept is just another way people use another to achieve their own ends.

I see and here's my ultimate take. While I agree with some points and disagree with others, I simply feel that we are individual souls at the end of the day and that we have soul families.
For me, the purpose of any spiritual connection is to learn a lesson(s) that helps our souls understand what love truly is...especially when it comes to loving others. The truth is we are all connected. With that being said, the main purpose is to understand why another soul impacts us whether it be a soul mate or twin flame. The most valuable spiritual lesson I learned early is that a lot of lessons don't need to be experienced to be learned. As our souls advance, realize that there are spiritual laws that all must follow. What I constantly see, even with twin flames, is that people use that powerful connection to explore what is ultimately a selfishness need...and their soul usually tells them this. "That person makes me feel x." For me, the truth is that no one is needed to make you feel a certain way or to even experience love itself. Love is something that we already have.

But as long as karma feels reasonable and somehow explainable by outer planets and transits,(synastry or composite) twin flame seems a good excuse for bs.

Person who isn't looking for any relationships is meeting people of opposite sex with whom they have great friendly and fun connection. Same day. Same place. Purely business. Jokes, talked, agreements, new beginning in life...
When all of a sudden ONE out of many strikes them as a lightening! Why?
Life is turning upside down in an instant!
For a longest time no sexual or any accounters are happening BUT waking up in the morning becoming easy because that person is suddenly present in your life. There is nothing going on sexually. Just emotionally and you can't explain nor understand why is this particular one out of many is capturing your soul a hostage.
Again I am sayingbos that not a week, nor month, not even a year NOTHING HAPPENS except life had gotten new meaning and this meaning is that particular individual.

If you don't have it you don't miss it.
But IF you've got it - it's like winning a jack pot! Millions are playing. Few are winning.
Not that I am saying that finding your twin flame is a winning guarantee! Depends on individual cituation. It could be a biggest grief for many reasons. However your soul gets rejuvenated no matter of outcome.

Who knows why a non believer would post about something they clearly don't understand. You're trying to make logic out of the illogical. It's a feeling/deep soul knowing. Or you're just a karmic who here to get into the heads of real TFs.

Also, some may just be making it up in their heads to use it as an excuse to justify their partners behavior, but when they look more deeply into things they'll figure it out, in their own time, because we're all on a different journey.
