Every once in a while my boyfriend will be telling me something and he’ll say dude blah blah blah. I’ve said it a couple times. It’s not a regular thing and it’s fine.

He regularly calls me babe

Ah i see. Yes i kept hearing that kind of thing when he's trying to tell his gf something. Just exactly like you said above. But how about "dog" or "dawg"?

May i ask which country do you live though?

I now call women dude as well lol

If I do get a gf, I’ll call her dude here and there to piss her off.

Ah and you're from California too. So it's pretty common there to call someone close to you that way?

I’ve never paid attention much to other guys, but I’ll catch myself saying ā€œsup guysā€ instead of ā€œhey ladiesā€ šŸ˜‚ I’m too lazy to correct it anyways. I wouldn’t be surprised if ā€œDudeā€ and ā€œguysā€ phrases are gender neutral words anyway. It’s CaliforniašŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø
