I know MOST people here, still have yet to announce what they are. You are going by an old format, thinking the same rules apply.
Almost everyone I have talked to has told me they won't claim roles.

I think what he means is this isn't really a Mafia game as it doesn't follow a traditional Mafia format. The past few games weren't really Mafia either.
