damn, I just checked and I didn't realise MS Word 97 was leading the entire league
From what I've seen so far I like the Sharks, Kings and Ducks - three West Coast teams
Also see a lot of potential in the Red Wings coming back to glory some time soon and NJ Devils, both have some really exciting individual players but look like one-man teams for now (sometimes I like that the most but it's just masochistic to support teams you know are going to lose painfully - i do that enough in football).

Im gonna ride the Maple Leaf train the rest of the season and hope they make the playoffs at least
If they dont there will probably just be teams Ill root for by default because I want teams like Minnesota and Chicago to lose
Sharks had this great series with the Nashville Predators in last years playoffs in which one of the games the goalies just turned on a light switch at the end of the game and it ended up going to 3 overtimes since there are no shoot outs in the playoffs. One of the best hockey games ever. Those saves were ridiculous
But even tho I was rooting for Nashville, Sharks won the series and earned my respect. I rooted for them in the Stanley Cup buttttt the Penguins won

I listen to Ferrel on the Bench most nights on the way home.. (Mainly because he's a gambler and talks about all the spreads and stuff on his show)..But they were talkin about wild/lightning playing 3 on 3 in OT?
What's that mean?
Well normally its 5 on 5 which means 5 skaters versus 5 skaters on the ice at one time
But these last couple of seasons they changed the rule for overtime where it is 3 skaters versus 3 skaters on the ice which makes it a lot faster and makes it only 1 defenseman on the ice for each team
so its just fast exciting hockey which gives a chance for a lot of breakaways
The playoffs tho are still 5 on 5

Yeah there is still a goaltender but not counted as the 3
In Overtime its usually just a center, a wing and a defensemen + the goalie
where normally its center, 2 wings and 2 defensemen + goalie

Well I wont stop preaching that the Maple Leafs are the funnest team to watch currently, theyre young and fast. They score a lot...but teams also score a lot on them. I'd equate them to the Oakland Raiders (With Carr) but with a worse defense lol

And here NFL is.. Moving back xtra points but still hasn't changed OT to equal possessions like college.
Yeah that runner on second thing theyre trying in the minor leagues sounds dumb
NFL really does need to change their OT
I think NHL's change is for the best tho because OT is only 5 minutes in the regular season anyway and then a shoot out so its 5 minutes of fast paced hockey
