But not for long :-/I've just seen pictures..looks pretty magical. I don't know how to scuba but maybe I could snorkel. I think a road trip around the exterior of Australia would be pretty cool as that's where 90% of the population lives.

3 DXPers so far.Very nearly 4 but one day they couldn't make it, next day I couldn't and they had to leave town.
I know who's top of the meetup leaderboard though and no one else is even close.

The interior does look wild. I saw the movie 'Wolf Creek' and that freaked me out a little lol but I'd still check it out.
I'm doing Europe again for 3 weeks in the fall but after that I will be looking at Southeast Asia, Australia/New Zealand, and up and coming Indonesia for the next trip. Planning and mapping out the logistics is half the fun.

Lol I once told Elle the same thing about sharing her experience (in general) and she flat out refused.Then in fairness, having witnessed some of the reactions on the board at the time I understood why.
It's calmer nowadays though.
That is so weird. I can't even imagine what was possibly said besides the obvious - that they couldn't just be platonic. People have to ruin the fun for the rest of us!
Tbh for me, I was way too nervous to ever mention it until way after the fact, but I felt a lot better and less pathetic about myself when I heard Vixen's beautiful story, and realized that it was nothing at all to be ashamed of.
In terms of the romance? It's nothing to be ashamed of. It's a little different when it's two regularly active members though. There's just more potential for things to be twisted.

We both came here like everyone else looking for answers. Me with a cap, and him with a scorp. Life can be so random.

Which is funny because she's a very upbeat, good humoured person all the time but something about this place really turned her off lol

She was never based in America no. I wouldn't have done long distance like that personally. We're going through a brief long distance spell right now but at first we had immediate ways to meet up and I'm glad we took it.The advice here is kind of luck of the draw for first timers. I think there's an element to all advice that is inherently bad, which makes me unforgiveable because I felt the need to dole out so much before.
The only thing I've seen this site struggle with is all the stereotypes about gender and sex.
