Half Breed.

i find this term very degrading but funny at the same time because im half black and white.

so for the mixed people on here what do u think about radical slurs towards mixed people.

We're all mixed .... and I don't give a fuck what someone calls me.

Who would actually get upset about being called a name, anyway?

If you qualify it, then that makes it true .. because you made it so, by accepting it as valid enough to consider.

I'm pretty sure I'm a mutt.

I'm half fijian half scottish and i tell people I'm half scandinavian when i want to impress them, lol nah not really.

I'm kind of embarassed sometimes when i wear shorts people always comment on my legs because theyre really muscular and I have no hair cos I'm ery hairless all over except my head I used to get teased in school from boys saying i shave my legs but my hairs were blonde and id pull on them to show they were there.......apart from that I'm praised as a god with perfect genetics on a daily basis

I wish i was more mixed... where I came from? straight out of an othrodox fam, 😢 all married off to similar breeding grounds... yah.. my fam's mostly been the same way.

although the scorp is kinda 1/4th mixed breed... and his fam consists of people from all over my country (yea, lots of different cultures, ethnic groups, breeds within my country itself).

thanks i guess alot of people tell my mother she's beautiful and not cuz she's light skin lol people say she looks the same and looks good for her age lol.

I am black, my cousin is half black half white and we often laugh about her being a half breed but we are being sarcastic when we use it. e.g she'll say "well you blacks all look the same" and i'll reply "well we cant all be half breeds like you".

I personally do not like the term "mixed raced" mix of what races— it could mean absoloutley anything.

People dont seem to like the term "half cast" i suppose it has picked up negative connotations but to me White is a cast and Black is a cast thats what we learnt in art, so if you are half black and half white wouldnt that actually be the correct term? I just feel like calling everyone mixed raced just loses peoples identity, but then again maybe everyone should just mix together then no one canbe racist anymore lol

Really? Maybe it's the word choice the bothers me--"ignore" just makes me think of "ignorant." (Not saying you are.)
What about healthy pride, and tradition and ritual: culture? I wouldn't want to see such things disappear. I guess my take is that recognition paired with respect is a pretty decent path to take--this would seem to acknowledge our human responsibility to one another. Just my opinion.

Yeah and when i look in the mirror i dont see a big black face i just see me but i am not offended by the term "black" as it is what i am.

I have a friend who is obese, i dont see an obese person when i look at her i just see my friend but she is not offended by the term "obese" because that is what she is. same difference, its all just semantics.

I find most names funny (except the N word, no matter what the ethnicity of the perosn saying it) I went to turkey and they all called me "hot chocolate" which made me giggle

I am full Irish but my kids are mixed with Irish and Mexican. In school the other kids would say things like "you're not mexican" just b/c they look more white. It's like okay...I don't know what I am? Duh. I guess the Irish genes dominated even though they both do have dark hair and they can tan unlike their mommy...lol.
When I was young I actually wanted a half black, half white child b/c my very best friend in the world was and she is such a beautiful woman inside and out! It just didn't work out with the black being in the mix and instead it was the brown..lol.
I have friends of every race and I agree that we are all just one race really...the human race as someone previously mentioned.

I think all of you are bee-u-tee-full!!!! Diversity is AWESOME!!!!

I don't know why lol.

Oh and racial slurs are for assholes who can think of anything else. Plain and simple.

If I were to name what's in me, no one would believe it LOL!

Half-cast is terrible and I don't care if it's used through playing. That's just a nasty term.

Half cast was never a derogative term when I was younger, people who were half black and half white called themselves that. Then one day we were suddenly told we had to used "mixed race" a lot of my friends still call them self half cast and older family members still use it. They refuse to be told what they can "politically correctly" call themselves. I will personally call anyone whatever it is they want to be called. They also feel that with "mixed raced" they lost their identity as mixed race could mean mix of any races.

I'm your fairly standard white guy mix, mostly German with Irish, Scottish, and British thrown in. Never been called a mutt or w/e, as if I'd care, but one day a black dude said "Heil Hitler!" in order to get my attention. Didn't work because Hitler ain't an idol of mine. I have been asked if I was a skinhead though, to which I reply "no, I'm a shavedhead."

Half Breed...mmmmm.....makes me think of Cher as an indian riding bareback on her painted pony. Hahahahah.......

I never here the term myself or many others that are derogatory. #1 - I try not to hang around or be in the company of those types of comments #2 - If I do hear it and it is poor taste you'll turn me off immediately and I'll get away from you as fast as I can
