In Senegal it is, my friend is from there and he always takes my shit, I literally need to check his bag when he leaves every time. Mind you he gives me whatever I want. But yeh in Senegal if you go to someone’s house and you like their couch they will give you that couch expecting that you’re going to take it anyway

yeah in Central Europe, if it was there to be taken then it's fair game. No one takes it personally.

I wouldn't mind being TOLD lol. LV bag seems to have vanished!

I wouldn't want my things to be taken away regardless of what culture I live in.

The respect and willingness to take care of my possessions has to be there.
