You just gotta make yourself fall in love with living. Truly believe you deserve and are meant for so much more. There are so many beautiful things in life… the other day I had the best feelings ever eating some insanely delicious goat chops! For some reason I could just not get over them. My husband and I also LOVE the restaurant it’s from. It’s our hidden gem. We also have our own custom sushi and custom ice cream place ❤️ These little things always make life feel so precious to me.

My job is one. Having a blank canvas, going to work, then make someone's dream shower or floor come true is amazing. Tbh I still don't know how to react when they praise the work I've done. Then when I get a call weeks or months later and they want me to come back to lay their kitchen backsplash, or tile another area feels amazing. I honestly didn't truly know if the risk of dropping out of school and going into a trade would work in the long run. I just loved the freedom, and the physical strength/skill required to work in the tile trade. Then a whole new weight was added to my shoulders when I was given the chance to be an actual installer. It was like starting over from square one. I didn't know if I would honestly make it. As an installers helper I was too stubborn to really pay attention, and only cared about being a better worker then all the other helpers. Then once I was given the opportunity to install I kind of freaked out. Yet I progressed through that, and didnt give up. Out of insecurity mix with a few failures I eventually became an extremely good installer with persistence. Just like the man who taught me. So as mundane as that might sound, my job is literally one of the reasons I want to live. Somewhere there is a person who dreams of the perfect tiled shower or floor, and I can make it happen in any way they want. Even if it's crazy af. I love to do my job, but also love to see the people I install for happy. Every bit of it is satisfying to me.
