Faulty tests but also I think some people can show symptoms straight away but test negative, whereas most people don't start showing symptoms until 5 days in and by that stage they are testing positive.

I am going through Omicron right now, it is the second time I have COVID since 2020. The symptoms are pretty the same--fever, chills, headache, etc. What is different I assume is a strange swelling in the pharynx, but still no severe runny nose and sore throat, just scratchy. I take paracetamol, drink lots of liquids and gargle my throat with salt water, that's it. I have 2 shots and 1 booster. The booster was made only 2 months ago, so I hoped that it would help, but no.
But what really sucks is +30 C in my area, and I feel bad, and the heat will be here for next some days! Bleh.
UPD. OK, it seems that I broke my thermometer. I am a loser.

My son got sick 2 weeks ago, just your average tonsillitis with flu. We both tested negative for Covid.
I cared for him as if he was a new born and I'm so proud of my immune system. I didn't even get a mild cold.
Yes I came in here to brag about how healthy I am.

I probably had covid a couple months ago, the symptoms were only REALLY bad for 2-3 days but it lingered for like 2 weeks, it was crazy. During those 2-3 days I had the worst sore throat I ever had in my life, gargling hydrogen peroxide helped it become bearable tho

I've felt sick 90% of my life, so to most it might seem like an extream moment to see a doctor, or nowadays, take a covid test. To me it's just another Thursday. I've lived through months up to years experiencing symptoms that I felt for sure kill me within a year. Except they never did, and going to the doctor just made more stress and imo more opportunities for things to go wrong. The chance of a misdiagnosis, or them simply not knowing wtf is wrong always ends up equal to the same chances of me dying from something I can't get over on my own with no diagnosis whatsoever. I guess what I'm saying is I don't trust hospitals or doctors or any diagnosis. It's just as random and unknown as my own fucking body fighting shit, or not, and still dying with no help whatsoever. I'm from America, so I don't trust heath care, insurance, or hospital that are under full control of the government. They get to flip the switch, and make the decision if you live or die in the end. I can 100% guarantee if and when I die, it will be because I made that decision to or not ask the fucked up health care system for help. Which they could 100% tell me to fuck off and die anyway, so why even care or try? Why feed and give money to a system that fucks thousands if not millions every year because they have the funds and power to decide if you live or die?

I've read The Rum Diary and I've read The Bunker Diary
I even read the diary of Anne Frank
I don't see this one being a bestseller tho 😢

You’re quite lucky. Count your blessings. Covid twice and no complete lost of smell or taste like me… I’ve already been struggling with loss of appetite for months before covid, this is on a whole other level. I’ve developed parosmia and it could take weeks or months for me to smell or taste again?! Very mentally debilitating.

When I had COVID in 2020, it was mild, but it damaged my health, which I still struggle with. I really hope this time my fate will not be like that. I am fed up.Posted by SassyKiwi

I was taking everything from Tylenol, Robitussin, Claritin, Benadryl, Mucinex, Halls, Cepacol, an inhaler… Before I found out I had covid, I had come across a research where dextromethorphan (a cough suppressant in Robitussin) helps covid grow… I shrugged it off as I had thought I was negative. But what if that aided in me becoming positive?! Probs just a coincidence. I stopped taking it right away after the positive test result. Idk if stopping it helped me or if it was the antibiotics but I also began feeling a little better by the next day. Thankfully my husband is still negative and his scratchy throat is gone. I highly recommend a humidifier and saline nasal mist. This is my first time including those two things during a nasty sickness and I literally feel reborn after using them. Like I think I permanently need them in my life now.. Btw don’t take Sudafed. Apparently it prolongs colds.
Who knows when I will test negative… until then I’m left to my own devices to entertain myself. I was supposed to go to a wedding on Friday. I love weddings 🥺 God knows if I’ll get to go to anymore until like next year at the rate of no one wanting to get married these days. I was supposed to also go out of town with my husband this weekend but he had to go on his own. So now I have no one entertaining me from the doorway either 🥺 I started playing mafia games on another site. I get into a lot of aggressive keyboard arguments xD They’re all a bunch of idiots which make me feel smart cause I at least still have a working brain regardless of covid 😠 My brother tells me how this strain of covid has been mostly affecting women.. I then also come across a relevant news article on the home covid test kits showing false negatives. How wonderful. Hot mess galore. I’m suspecting the source of covid as my own father of all the random outings I’ve gone to… cause he also recently made my sweet innocent mother covid positive. It’s her second time being covid positive this year :/
