Eraserhead. The movie itself represented exactly what a nightmare is. Black and white and very disproportional. The movie felt like someone who doesn't know they're dreaming and they're just floating through shit not knowing how to control it and make it end until the end of the movie. The movie scared me as a kid. Today it just weirds me out and I just laugh at it. What was the weirdest you ever saw?

According to Lynch himself the movie is a manifestation of his own fears of fatherhood and if you see it with that in mind it's more angst-inducing than weird really... and falls nothing short of a masterpiece! =)

"Woman in the Dunes", 1964.

An amateur entomologist searching for insects by the sea misses the last bus home and the villagers suggest he stay the night in the home of a widow whose house is located at the bottom of a sand pit, accessable only by ladder. When he wakes up the next morning he discovers that the ladder is gone and that the villagers have trapped him into living with a mysterious woman who spends almost all her time preventing her home from being swallowed up by advancing sand dunes. The woman and the trapped man begin a strange and erotic relationship that stretches over years, as the man's hope for escape dims.

Existential cinema at its finest. At its core, it plays out like a statement on the absurdity of life and our struggles; at first everything seems clear, then we start questioning the meaning or the lack therof, life becomes more senseless, only to (hopefully) come to terms with it in the end... one way or the other. Those with a lack of patience stay away as it's a slow-paced piece of art.... just like life! 😄 The soundtrack alone makes me want to jizz my pants!

A Clockwork Orange was pretty weird to me.

Clockwork Orange is one of those rare mainstream oddities that's never gonna age and that's gonna be discovered & appreciated (or hated) by many new generations to come, probably more so than any other movie in history. Its grotesque style mixed with Pavlov-ian psychology & "social awareness" -themes makes it simply timeless, and even with Kubricks impressive body of work, I can't see any other of his movies passing the test of time this well. That one is really well put-together, my favourite.

One of my favourite ones is Possession from 1981. Emotionally draining, "relationship-drama" masquerading as a horror movie. Best feel-bad break-up movie ever! Isabelle Adjani supposedly attempted suicide after seeing her own performance. 😱

+100000% , PLUS someone is Genius for posting the full movie on YOUTUBE!

...ENJOY this masterpiece for ones who havent watched!

That is NOT the way to enjoy it-- totally kills the experience!

Every time someone watches a masterpiece ON YOUTUBE, GOD KILLS A KITTEN!

Nowhere - 1997 watched it once when I was stoned and can't remember much apart from heather graham giving ryan phillippe a blow job in a car and scream out " I wanna die"! and drives off a cliff.

Mind Game - Japanese anime about these people stuck inside a whale and they live in this awesome place made of all the junk the whale swallows and its cool to see all the stuff they do to pass the time while they are trapped??_it doesn't seem to make much sense to watch but it kind of does at the same time and is packed with heaps of emotion.

The Matrix - I remember when I watched this along with "Dark city" and though what the fuck is this bullshit because they start the story where people are trapped in the matrix and when neo wakes up your so confused where the fuck he is??_.but it works because your confused and so are the characters who get released and yeh I thought it was so weird for its time and was an awesome concept that got destroyed by the franchise??_..I still watch animatrix from time to time and I love it.

Someone said Eraserhead I haven't seen that but Ive seen Mulholland drive and Blue velvet and they were both eerily creepy and at times scary and were awesome movies to watch and had the same director david lynch

A Boy and His Dog (1975) ...about a boy who can telepathically communicate with his pervy dog as they scavenge the apocalyptic wasteland for food and sex. One of the weirdest science-fiction movies on the map. It's the tasteless ending that totally won me over, despite the somewhat tedious 70's B-movie look of the whole thing.
"Mutts before sluts!" 😄

Yes, that is sting.

I saw this one when I was a child around age 7 or 9. The entire movie is on youtube. This is just the trailer.

Just discovered that one of my favourite 60's oddities "The Swimmer" is out on Bluray! Anyone else seen it?
Strange, beautiful, eerie-- directed by Frank Perry, a fellow Leo/Cancer mooner & one of the most underrated filmmakers of the last century 🙂

Yeah saw it recently.
I wouldn't call it "weird", but a good movie. You can feel the ominous ending coming slowly throughout the movie.
