It's not my own, not exactly... π
That was a compulsive post inspired by my nationality - though, while checking the lyrics (of any anthems): they all sing about national pride, about wars and the victories of their ancient warlords... as if they're hoping to rise again into battle one day - supposedly, in the name of freedom. And yet, while looking back - most of those wars were fought for idiotic beliefs (like religion), for national interests... conquering lands and people - for the sake of tyranny. Where those holding the upper hand - took upon themselves the absolute right (God given - as they put it), to decide what's just and what not... for everyone else. To create division among people through borders - both physical and so called cultural.
Those days are not so bar behind and i'm tired of that shit...
