What dry food do you buy for your fur baby? Why do you recommend it? Thinking of changing it up for my fur babies

Posted by cheekyfaerieInteresting info. Thank you for sharing that with me. I give them wet food on occasion. But I could step it up a notch. I either feed mine Science Diet or Meow Mix. They're healthy to the tee. Was just wondering.
Particularly if your cat is male, regular dry food is discouraged. Increases the risk of urinary problems. No longer have a boy, but with that fact in mind, I feed my girls 9 Lives Plus Care. It's nothing fancy or organic or whatever, but they like it, it's cost effective and they're healthy.

Posted by cheekyfaerieI should have just said "ditto this." Went through the same thing with mine haha.Posted by SugarandSpunkCats don't drink water as much as dogs do, even if you're good about keeping fresh water out for them. Outside, they'd get that from their kills. On a dry food diet, an indoor car runs the risk of urinary/kidney issues. It's why wet food or a special dry food's encouraged.Posted by cheekyfaerieInteresting info. Thank you for sharing that with me. I give them wet food on occasion. But I could step it up a notch. Or that's how our vet explained it anyway. Our boy had crystals in his urethra that would have eventually become a complete blockage. $ 600 later, we overhauled his diet and never had that particular problem again.

Posted by xXxQueenliciaXxXwhat wet food do you give your cat?
I used to have my boy on a dry food diet until I heard from several vets that even the cheapest wet food is better than the "best" dry food. They aren't meant to eat their food dry.
So now my boy is on the good stuff.

I get this variety pack. Puréed food upsets his tummy.

Posted by GetMistedMy cats drink so much water but yeah it's definitely because of their intake for food since mine eat just dry food
Stubbs have never eaten wet food. He refuses.
Dude drinks a hell of a lot of water tho -_-
But yes.. Cats get most of their water intake from their food.

Posted by rockyroadicecreamThanks, I'll definitely pick this up this week and mix it with their dry food. They will be so happy! 🙂Posted by xXxQueenliciaXxXI use this brand too.Posted by SugarandSpunkPosted by xXxQueenliciaXxXwhat wet food do you give your cat?

Posted by SugarandSpunkAs someone said, any wet food is better than dry. It depends on your cats and what they like. But so far, based on his urinalysis, he hasn't had any negative issues with this stuff. Neither have my others. There are some flavors that a few seem to disagree on, so I stick with the poultry platter flavor.Posted by rockyroadicecreamThanks, I'll definitely pick this up this week and mix it with their dry food.
